As zombies started coming one by one closer to Leo and the girls, Leo got ready to make his move. In that instant he told Jess and Mariah to get ready with whatever they had for weapons and get ready to run. Leo told the girls that on the count of three they were going to escape out the window and maneuver themselves out of the window one by one and try and get to another classroom or even and open hallway window. "Are you crazy we could die out there, what if one of us falls off the ledge of the window or something!!! Mariah said. Leo assured her that everything was going to be alright, but they had to hurry before more zombies came. Just as Leo said he counted to three and they each made their way out the window and onto the ledge. As they quickly and carefully moved across the ledge Leo shouted from behind that he could see a window open in the library. Soon enough they approached the open window and made their way inside the library. Mariah was beginning to get worried that they may not be able to escape the school and that they would all die inside it. Jess calmed her down by telling her that if they listened and followed Leo that everything was going to be alright.
It had been about an hour and the managed to get to the the bottom floor of the school and into the cafeteria. Leo told Jess and Mariah that they might be able to find something to break open the vending machines to find food, but that they would have to be quiet so that they didn't attract any zombies towards them. Jess did as Leo said and found a sharp knife from the kitchen and said they could carefully carve out the glass. Mariah agreed with Jess, so they both carefully worked together to gently take out the glass of all the vending machines in the cafeteria. After the girls had finished Leo came over to them with some garbage bags he found while he was searching the kitchen in the cafeteria. He had also found some sharp knives and things that they could use as weapons. While Jess and Mariah filled the garbage bags with snacks and drinks, Leo went to look for a way out of the school that wouldn't attract and zombies and that wasn't blocked off by them either. When they were all done Leo went over and told Jess that they could use the outside patio and propel the little ways down the wall to the ground. He knew it was risky, but it seemed to be the only way out.
