Lost Love

He looked at her face for one last time before leaving in the hope of meeting her again. He noticed her eyes which were filled with tears, and a smile on her face which he wanted to see forever. He smiled at her. Just then everything went dark. He heard her scream out his name. He woke up from his dream panting and sweating.

It's been about two years since Ahaan started having these nightmares. It's also been two years since he lost his one and only love.

Her name was Ishita. A pleasant little girl struggling in high school, when he met her. She was five feet tall with short black hair framing her oval face. She had beautiful eyes which she got framed.

When he saw her for the first time, she was a quiet girl who rarely took her eyes off the books. And that was 7 years before they actually met each other.

They met at an exhibition hosted by Ahaan's uncle, Mr. Srinish. He went there with his brother Amit. While wandering around Ahaan noticed a girl staring at the drawing of a beautiful night sky. He walked towards her.

"Hey, little girl", He said.

She turned around in surprise and said, "Sorry, I am not a little girl."

It only took 3 seconds for Ahaan to fall for a girl he just met.

"Forgive me my lady. I assumed you were a little girl with that height of yours, but I never thought you'd be so alluring like that magnificent night sky you're staring at." Ahaan said to her without taking his eyes off from her.

She paused for a moment and said. "I've got to go", and made her way to the exit.

Ahaan ran behind her and finally caught up with her. He grabbed her hand and pulled her close to him. He saw fear in her eyes.

He asked, "May I know your name?"

"It's Ishita." She said without breaking the eye contact.

"Ishita, you've got a pretty name just like you."

After a pause he continued, " My name is Ahaan. It was so nice to meet you."

"It wasn't that nice", Ishita murmured.

"What did you say?", Ahaan asked.

"Oh it would be so nice if u let go of my hand", Ishita said.

Ahaan realized that he was holding on her hand so tight . He let go of her hand and said, "I would never let go of you, my lady."

Ishita didn't utter a single word. She turned around to leave.

Ahaan held her hand again and said, " Meet me at Cafe Infinity, 5 p.m. tomorrow."

Ishita gave a nod and walked away.
