Lost Love

After class, I went straight home unaware of the surprise waiting for me. The surprise was my cousin Shanaya. She's the only girl with whom I was comfortable. She's elder than me by 3 years but with her looks she seems like she's younger than me.

"Hey bro! Surprise." Shouted Shanaya.

"I hate surprises like these!" I exclaimed.

She came to stay with my family for a week. She asked me to take her to shopping. I was reluctant at first but agreed.

Anyway I took her to shopping. I don't know why girls take a long time to buy something. It took her about an hour to pick the perfect shade of lipstick and almost two hours to pick a dress. I was too exhausted.

It was me who insisted Shanaya to go to the café.  Actually I never expected Ishita there due to her absence from school.

Shanaya was holding my arm while we walked to the café. I found Ishita at the entrance. It really surprised me. I looked at her but... You know Shanaya...I can't let Shanaya know about her because she would tease and and of course she would let my whole family know about this.

So I walked into the café with Shanaya without paying much attention to Ishita.
I knew I hurted her but I was helpless.

After we entered the café we found few of Shanaya's childhood friends. They were talking about their time being together and all. So I excused myself. Her friends told me that they'll drop her home.

I ran outside and saw Ishita walking slowly. I walked behind her at a fair distance. Just then it started raining. I thought Ishita would take cover or something but she was walking in the rain.

I wanted to walk beside her.
I wanted to apologize to her. I really wanted to let her know how sorry I am.
Something stopped me.

After thinking twice, I ran towards her.
I grabbed her wrist and pulled her close to me.
I saw her eyes filled with tears.

Oh god! I can't believe that I did this to her.
