The next day, when Ahaan reached school, he went straight to Ishita's class, but he couldn't find her. He got worried as it was the first time she skipped school. The whole day he was gloomy and didn't talk to anyone. Everyone was confused because they'd never seen him like that. Ahaan is usually cheerful. Nobody has ever seen him being upset or worried over anything.

"What happened to you? You were never like this" asked his best friend Nishan.

Ahaan couldn't hold back. He explained everything.

Hearing the whole story, Nishan burst out into laughter.

Nishan was surprised because it was the first time he had seen Ahaan worried about someone. That, too, a girl.

On his way back Ahaan decided to stay home and not to go to the café just because Ishita was not at school.

Café Infinity

5 p. m. :

"Are you sure that he asked you to meet him?", Rhea asked.

"Of course, he asked me to meet at 5pm." Ishita said, giving Rhea an irritated look.

Rhea is Ishita's best friend. They've been friends for about 12 years now. Rhea is the only person to whom Ishita actually talks to. When Ishita told her about her encounter with Ahaan, Rhea could not believe neither her best friend nor her own ears. It was the first time Ishita actually mentioned a boy.

They had both been waiting at the café for half an hour. Rhea was kinda pissed off for having to wait and she left. Ishita decided to wait a little longer.

After waiting for another half an hour, Ishita stood up and walked out of the café. She saw Ahaan coming towards the café. He was holding the hands of a girl. This stunned Ishita. Ahaan noticed Ishita, but he ignored her and went into the café.

Ishita was devastated. Tears started running down her cheeks. She couldn't accept what she had just seen. She walked away.

Just then it started to rain. She walked in that heavy rain.

In the rain, a girl walks with tears that fall,
Her heart heavy with sorrow, burdened soul,
A boy stands silent, watching her distress,
Longing to offer comfort, but no control.

He wishes to hold her close, ease her pain,
Yet from a distance, he can only gaze,
Helplessly he stands, his heart in chains,
As she walks alone through the watery haze.

The storm may rage, but his love stays true,
Yearning to dry her tears, ease her fears,
Though he cannot hold her, this much he knew,
His love for her will endure through the years.

In the rain, a girl walks, but not alone,
For the boy's love for her forever shown.

Ahaan was walking at a fair distance from her. He knew what he had done and was sorry for how he treated her. The girl who was with him was his cousin, Shanaya. He couldn't let her know about Ishita and that is why he ignored her.

Both of them were drenched in the heavy rain. Summing up all his courage, Ahaan ran towards Ishita. He grabbed her hand and pulled her close to him.
