A young man observed the French country manor in front of him silently, a mischevious smirk curled into his face and he continued forward. Inside he was met with silence and as he moved onward the buzz of two immortals greeted him, as he entered a bedroom he found both of them calmly reading books side by side on the floor.

"What if we had been naked?" Methos asked calmly causing the woman laying on her stomach with her feet in the air beside him to reach out and slap his chest.

"He's still a baby you cant say things like that to him."

"He's nearly two thousand years old, My Song, if he doesnt know what happens between a man and woman there is something wrong."

Gideon rolled his eyes at the two moving to sit on the floor across from them "Glad to see the two of you acting normal again, and by the way i literally lived in a one room shack with you two. I'm scarred for life at this point."

Methos gave a smug grin as he reached out and trailed a hand over Esthers back and Gideon looked the two over with a fondness in his eyes. To Gideon, Methos was a father figure, the man had been in his life for so long that he never even considered a time where Esther and Methos might not be together. When it had happened it had been devastating and the immortal was glad to see the two back together.

Of course their life with Methos hadnt always been champagne and caviar, there had been a time when Methos had been someone they feared.

250 AD- Ossetia Antica

They had been travelling for two days when they came too another city, Esther had been surprised that their captures actually treated them well. They were obviously not in the business of starving their slaves and they ensured that Esther and Gideon were let out to walk and perform neccesary functions several times a day. And as Esther listened to them talk she began to realize that these men, were themselves either slaves or workers for someone.

Inside this new city they headed to a large compound like structure, and as they passed through the gates, Esther and Gideon looked around in awe and fear. Around the courtyard multiple men and woman were training, some fighting hand to hand others with practice swords. Esther knew what this was, she had heard it described by Aeolus and Ambrose in passing.

"This is a Ludus." She whispered to Gideon who looked up eyes wide "Will they want us to fight the lions?"

Esther could not answer her brother, they were Christians, it was not unheard of for the Romans to send Christians to the lions.

"I don't know."

In the courtyard two men stood watching as the small caravan entered, one of them an older man tilted his head in surprise "Immortals."

The younger looking one shook his head "Not yet, strong though, I've never felt a pre-immortal with that powerful a presence before."

"But which is it?"
