He also looked nervous as he kept moving his hands, not knowing what to do. Beside him was the septon who watched her. They stopped before the two, and her father let her go. He stepped behind her, awaiting word from the Septon.

The Septon looked between the two before saying, "You may now cloak the bride and bring her under your protection." Corlys walked up behind his daughter, taking the cloak from her shoulder as Dorian was handed his own.

It was orange and yellow with the house Martell symbol in the center. Dorian walked behind her, careful of her dress, and slowly placed it onto her shoulders. He then walked back to stand in front of her. Her father walked down the steps holding the cloak and stood beside her mother and two siblings.

"We stand here in the sight of gods and men to witness the union of man and wife: one flesh, one heart, one soul, now and forever." The Septon spoke as he held a ribbon in his hand. She finally looked at the boy her age in front of her.

He looked down at his hands as they both lifted a hand. As he wrapped their hands with the ribbon, the boy finally looked at her. Both had the same anxious look but did give each other an attempted smile.

"Let it be known that Prince Dorian of Martell and Lady Laerra of house Velaryon are one heart, one flesh, one soul. Cursed be he who would seek to tear them asunder." The Septon says as the two continue to look at each other. Dorian squeezed her hand.

"In the sight of the Seven, I hereby seal these two souls, binding them as one for eternity. Look upon one another and say the words." Laerra calmed, as had he, as they held each other's hand.

"Father, Smith, Warrior, Mother, Maiden, Crone, Stranger..." Laerra and Dorian spoke in unison, making Rhaenys smile at the image of her daughter. Laenors face held an unreadable expression, while Laenas held a bright smile.

"I am hers, and she is mine. From this day until the end of my days," Dorian says softly as he finally becomes more calm. "I am his, and he is mine. From this day until the end of my days." She said with a quiet voice as she looked toward their hands.

"With this kiss, I pledge my love and take you for my lady and wife," Dorian said nervously as he glanced at the crowd and then back to her. "With this kiss, I pledge my love and take you for my lord and husband." She repeated as she glanced to the Septon and then her now husband.

"One flesh, one heart, one soul, now and forever," Septon said, taking his hand off the two and looking to the crown. After was a quick small kiss to the cheek, and it brought a smile to Rhaenys face at courteous action. The two turned to the group of people, who smiled and began cheering.

What followed was a feast as the two sat in the corner of a long table, family on either side of them. It had been announced already there would be no bedding. It came as a comfort to both them as well as to Laerra's family.

"Are you all right?" Dorian had asked, finally speaking to his now wife. Laerra turned to look at him, smiling, "Of course. What of you?" She asked before looking at his hand.

He followed her eyes and took her hand as they finally felt comfortable after the most stressful part. "We shall speak later." He stated, making her nod as she looked toward her parents, who watched on proudly.

"I wish to retire to my bed," Laerra whispers to her father, who was beside her. "And you shall." He says, standing from the table, announcing the couple to leave and then escorting them out along with her mother and siblings and Dorian's family.
