Gwen weaved through the crowd of noisy teens, taking care not to drop any of the several books she held tightly in her arms. She tried not to pay attention to the whispering adolescents, pointing and laughing at her.
Well, welcome back to Mclean's High. The place where everyone hates people who are unique.
People whose hair colour doesn't vary between Black,Brown or Blonde.
People whose grades were higher than 75%. After all, studying is for 'Losers'.
But not everyone had a hatred for her. She had a boyfriend. A gorgeous, 6 foot tall guitarist, who saw her inner beauty, always bringing out the best in everyone. He was her only comfort in the harsh prison.
Gwen hurried towards her Science classroom door. She shoved it open and let out a sigh of relief. No one her would bother her. Or so she thought...
The lesson was simply boring. Even the professor was struggling to stifle his yawn. 15 minutes of boredom was too much for a nasty juvenile before they had to go back to using their spiteful persona.
A note hit Gwen's back. She picked up the crumbled note, earning a papercut in the process. She wiped the blood on her black leggings and took note of the Cherry-Red nail polish mark lining the edge of the paper.
It read:
'It's a shame that such a beautiful boy got wasted on you.
Good thing is, I got him to realise that you're not worthy of him, and how you'll always be a fucking loser.
I've never had such a steamy encounter in the Janitor's closet with someone else's boyfriend.'
She signed it with a kiss
(Like That)
Gwen nearly burst into tears on the spot. How could she not have realised? He'd been avoiding her for days, and no longer responded to her messages.
She lifted her pale hand to ask for use of the restroom. Her request was granted, and she sprinted into the first cubicle she could find, the note still clutched in her sweaty palm.
She howled, droplets of water falling down her cheeks like rain. None of it was fair. Maybe Heather was right, maybe she didn't deserve him.
Around 5 minutes later, the bathroom door burst open, and she heard a concerned voice yelling her name. She recognised it as Courtney Satella's, a confident and compassionate classmate of hers.
Suddenly, the calling stopped, and everything fell silent, the only noise was the endless sobbing. Gwen heard a voice murmur,' Found her' and then banging on her cubicle door.
'Gwen, open the door, please. I need to speak to you.' Courtney uttered in a soft tone.
Gwen hesitated before responding, in a hoarse, melancholy voice. 'Why do you need me?'
Courtney's breath grew heavy and then there was a bang, as the stall door flew open, revealing a stunned Courtney, leg still in the position from her kick.
She obviously didn't expect her kick to be powerful enough to open the door, but still, a wide grin spread across her face.
'So now that I'm here, mind telling me what's wrong?' She questioned, crouching to reach Gwen's level.
She sniffed shakily and handed Courtney the note. She scanned it within a matter of seconds, letting out a horrified gasp. She threw it to the ground, where it landed in a puddle of who-knows-what.
Then she did something unexpected. She hugged her. A proper bear-hug.
Not even Trent, her cheating boyfriend/soon to be ex, had given her such a loving hug before. Courtney actually cared about her situation, and wanted to change it.
She stood up,lifting Gwen's chin to face her. 'Don't let her get to you. Or do, it will just make my punches stronger.'
Gwen halted, eyes wide. Courtney was going to beat up Heather? Over her?
Courtney nodded, as if she could read Gwen's thoughts.
'Yes I a-' She was cut off by the bell ringing for lunch.
She grinned mischievously, and added,'And now's the perfect time for it.'
She took Gwen's hand and guided her out to the hallway, shoving past all sorts of people, even staff. Eventually, they reached Heather's little gang, including: Heather; Dakota; and Julia, lolling against a trophy cabinet.
'Hey Bitch!' Courtney hollered, gaining Heather's attention.
'What is it?' Heather spat, clearly unimpressed.
'Ever heard the saying,If you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing?'Courtney asked, fuming. She formed a fist and, abruptly, punched Heather in the face, giving her a nosebleed.
The corridor filled with gasps, as kids crowded around, cellphones out, recording the two girls. Julia and Dakota gave each other terrified glances, and scurried away, not wanting in on the action.
'What the FUCK?' Heather screamed, looking like a murderer with red eyes and blood smeared across her face.
'Aww, sweetie, did you really think you could kiss someone's boyfriend and get away with it? How embarrassing for you..' Courtney chuckled, trying to get into Heather's head.
It worked. Heather attempted to back away, forgetting she was already pressed right up against the cabinet. Courtney kicked Heather in the shin, causing her to double-over in pain.
'No matter what you do to me, you can't change the fact that Gwen's a hideous prude who will always remain a virgin. No one here would willing fuck her.' Heather hissed, smirking at the destruction that she knew this would cause in me.
Courtney gave her a death glare, and one last kick (For good measure) and sauntered away, pulling Gwen along with her.
Gwen curled up on the floor of her dorm. Courtney brung her a glass of water, and then saw the tears falling down her cheeks for the second time that day.
She sat down, her legs crossed. 'Hey,hey.' She whispered, pulling Gwen onto her lap. 'Is this over what Heather said?' She questioned, stroking Gwen's forehead.
Gwen nodded yes, and Courtney's expression grew softer.
'Don't listen to her.' She instructed, cradling Gwen gently, soothing her worries.
'I would fuck you.' She murmured, smiling as she planted a slow kiss on Gwen's forehead, travelling to the bridge of her nose, to her cheeks, and finally, to her lips.
Courtney's lips tasted like coffee and Vanilla Chapstick. Gwen basked in their taste, her tears evaporating.
'Better now?' Courtney smiled warmly, receiving a satisfied nod from Gwen. She leaned in again, and Gwen had a feeling this wouldn't be the only time she would get so close with Courtney.
*So sorry about how late this is! I had to change the whole plot to add as much Gwourtney as possible! I also had no motivation for a couple of days. Comment any other one shot ideas on my requests page!*
