Sana's POV

The Court Room

"Mrs. Park, you claim here that Kim Junghwa has been abusing you for several years", the judge stated, his voice stern.

"Yes", I replied firmly, my hands gripping the edge of the witness stand.

"You know this is a very serious charge. If the jury thinks you're lying, you'll be arrested" he warned.

"I know, and I promise to tell nothing but the truth".

"Kim Junghwa, come to the stand",  my lawyer commanded.

Junghwa approached the stand, his expression defensive.

"Mr. Kim, do you or do you not believe you've been abusive towards your ex-wife?" my lawyer asked.

"What kind of question is that?", Junghwa retorted, his voice laced with irritation.

"Okay, let me rephrase it. Have you or have you not hit your ex-wife?", my lawyer persisted.

"No, I haven't. The abusive person is her fake-ass husband", Junghwa replied vehemently.

I rolled my eyes at his blatant lies.

"Okay, let's start. When did you and Mrs. Park get married?", my lawyer continued.

"I can't remember", Junghwa replied not even caring.

"How much money was her father giving you to help grow your businesses?", my lawyer pressed.

"£50,000 a month. I don't see how this has anything to do with the crime I'm being accused of", Junghwa protested.

"Did you feel powerful having that money just given to you?", my lawyer questioned.

"Well, of course. Every man is happy when money's involved", Junghwa admitted smiling

He has the ability to smile in this moment of time.

"Did you grow greedy for money? To outdo other companies?", my lawyer asked.

"I wanted to expand my business. I wouldn't call that greed", Junghwa defended.

"Having that money made you feel powerful to control your secretary?", my lawyer continued.

"I'm confused. Don't all CEOs control their secretary?", Junghwa countered.

"Not like a slave, Mr. Kim. And this secretary was your own wife", my lawyer pointed out.

"Keeping things professional, you do that in a work environment".

"Do you really believe that? Because your new wife, who is now your secretary, isn't treated like a slave. You don't keep things professional. So, Mr. Kim, tell me, why did you treat her that way?", my lawyer pressed.

"She just wasn't a good secretary. I had to be harsh", Junghwa claimed.

"Mr. Kim, you claimed a while back that Mr. Park stole Sana from you, which was false. Did you feel threatened when another huge CEO became interested in your wife and that her father would stop supplying you with money and helping your business? That with her gone and no longer yours, you'd lose your money, the power to control?", my lawyer questioned.
