This Awards contest will be judged by a group of judges and not a single individual.

The composite scoring and feedback will be provided at the end of Judging for each winning title.

If anyone is interested in being a judge for the awards please comment here and we will be in touch.

Judging Information

The judging process will be as follows:

It will be a panel of Judges

Writers and Readers  can apply to judge

If you are a writer who has a story that has been nominated - you can judge any category but the one your work is nominated in.

Round 1

After reading the 1st full chapter of the nominations

Judging panels will come together and score their top 3

The 3 with the highest average scores will go into round 2

Round 2

After reading  3 chapters of the nominations

Judging panels will come together and score their top 2

The 2 with the highest average scores will go into round 3

Round 3

After reading 5 chapters of the nominations

Judging panels will come together and score the final nominations.

The Nomination with the highest average score will win their category

Round 4

All category winners will be ranked by score and the highest Score will win Best Book

I am hoping to host the judging panels on our discord server - The Writer's Room

So anyone who is ok with using Discord is welcome to volunteer to judge.

Final Note

In the judging criteria I have removed grammar - because I really feel that as long as you can understand what the writer is trying to convey and can enjoy the story - there is no reason to get hung up on whether there was a period where there should have been a comma, or a 'but' where there should have been a "however'.

Addendum

This award is open to everyone - now as with any community not everyone is going to like everyone.  People are also going to have conflicts and drama.

But I want to make it perfectly clear

DRAMA AND CONFLICT HAVE NO PLACE IN THIS CONTEST

If you choose to judge please be on your best behavior, I will do my best not to place mortal enemies in the same panels and limit exposure so that everyone is safe and comfortable.

But let me make it perfectly clear - I have no problem ejecting judges or authors

that cause problems even if it means that I have to scrap the contest.

With that said, I congratulate those who have been nominated so far

and welcome anyone who wishes to lend a hand in the judging.
