The rain poured relentlessly, pounding against the windows of the small hospital room where you sat by George's bedside. The monitors beeped rhythmically, a stark reminder of the fragile state of his health. Tubes and wires snaked across his body, connecting him to various machines that kept him alive.

George lay motionless on the hospital bed, his once vibrant eyes now dulled with pain and exhaustion. His chest rose and fell in shallow breaths, each one a struggle against the darkness that threatened to engulf him.

You sat by his side, your heart heavy with grief as you watched him fight for his life. The doctors had given him little hope, his injuries too severe to overcome. But still, you clung to the sliver of hope that somehow, against all odds, he would pull through.

"George, please," you whispered, your voice choked with emotion as you reached out to grasp his hand in yours. "You can't die. Please don't die."

George's eyelids fluttered open, his gaze unfocused as he struggled to make sense of his surroundings. "Y/N?" he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.

"I'm here, George," you replied, tears streaming down your cheeks as you leaned in closer. "I'm right here."

A faint smile tugged at the corners of George's lips as he looked up at you, his eyes brimming with unspoken gratitude. "I'm sorry," he whispered, his voice barely audible over the steady hum of the machines.

"Don't be sorry, George," you said softly, your heart breaking at the sight of him lying there, so frail and vulnerable. "You have nothing to be sorry for."

George's hand tightened around yours, his grip surprisingly strong despite his weakened state. "I wish things were different," he said, his voice tinged with regret.

You nodded in agreement, the weight of his words hanging heavy in the air. "I wish we had more time," you whispered, the tears flowing freely now as you struggled to hold back your grief.

George's eyes searched yours, a silent understanding passing between you as you shared a moment of quiet reflection. Despite the pain and heartache, you were grateful for the time you had shared together, for the memories you had created, and the love that had blossomed between you.

As the hours passed, you and George sat together in silence, lost in your own thoughts and feelings. The steady rhythm of his breathing was a comfort to you, a reminder that he was still fighting, still holding on with every ounce of strength he had left.

But as the night wore on, George's condition deteriorated, his breathing becoming more labored with each passing moment. The monitors beeped frantically, their shrill tones echoing through the small hospital room like a death knell.

You clung to George's hand desperately, your heart breaking as you watched him slip away before your eyes. "Please, George," you pleaded, your voice trembling with emotion. "Don't leave me."

But despite your best efforts, George's grip on life slipped away, his body going limp in the hospital bed as the monitors fell silent. The room seemed to close in around you, the weight of your grief crushing you beneath its unbearable weight.

You leaned forward, pressing a final kiss to George's forehead as tears streamed down your cheeks. "Goodbye, George," you whispered, your voice barely audible over the sound of your own sobs.

And as you sat alone in the quiet hospital room, surrounded by the ghosts of unspoken goodbyes, you knew that George would always hold a special place in your heart. He may have left this world too soon, but his memory would live on forever, a beacon of light in the darkness of your grief.

Um. Yup. Tbh I don't really like writing a character's death especially if the person is still alive right now (ahem ahem) but i thought it would be interesting to try ig
