At 13: Jakob got Chance a phone, a car, a TV, new bed, new desk, new everything that he could get since he was rich. Jakob apologized for everything he did to him, he told him he was perfect enough to be an assassin. Chance didn't like this, he hated him, or tried to. He wanted to hate Jakob but he knew he couldn't, Jakob was like a father to him, not a very good one but more than his old father was. Later on that year Jakob sent Chance to school.
At 14: Chance was the bad boy at school. Always getting into fights, getting detentions, talking back, and he was failing. Finally they kicked him out, Jakob didn't care, it wasn't his education. Instead of going to school, Chance trained to become better. Jacob showed him everything, how to hide, steal, hear everything, he even showed Chance how to fight or tried, he actually showed Jakob some new moves.
At 15: Jakob changed Chance's name to Beau Remington. It was the year of his first mission, When he was on his mission he saw a familiar face, Marissa. He fell in love with her all over again, but she didn't feel the same way. So, instead they became siblings, thinking of family he thought of his mom.
Right then he got in the car Jakob had gotten him at 13 and went to go find his mama. He parked outside the house and ran to the door when he found it was locked he kicked it open. Only to find he's mom on the floor, glass shattered around her head, and his "dad" on top of her. Just about to rape her. Beau lost it like he had watched he's father do so many times. When he come back his dad was dead, blood all over Beau's hands. He grabbed his mother and left.
He fixed up the old house Marissa and him lived in, and made it hers and Marissa's home.
