I was woken up in the worst way possible this morning. Not one, but two needles of the spider venom was injected in both my arms. I yelped in pain as the syringes went deeper into my shoulder. It was then roughly pulled out and the same thing happened. Another block of concrete for me to break with only my arm. I literally wanted to cry once I saw the piece of concrete. I prepared to swing my arm and once again, the concrete won. I screamed in pain when I saw the blood on my knuckles.
-"why, do, I have to do this every single morning?" I said, feeling defeated.
He didn't even answer. He just stared and scoffed. He threw me a bandage roll for me to wrap my bleeding knuckles. He left the room and growled in frustration.
I looked at my knuckles, then I look the roll of bandages.
-"I HATE THIS PLACE!" I raged and threw the bandages. The roll landed on Lilith's head, causing her to wake up
-"oh man- sorry Lilith" I giggled nervously as I watched her slowly rise from her sleep
-"Aw man I was having a really really REALLY good dream Sav..." she groaned
-"My fault. I raged just now and threw these bandages" she looked at my bleeding knuckles
-"What the- you're not gonna cover up your wounds?!" She grabbed the bandages and wrapped it around my hand. She looked up to me and smiled
-"You're welcome" she smirked
I smiled back but with a more idiotic expression. A really crooked smile. My smile slowly faded as I leaned closer towards her. A did a slight nod and raised my eyebrow, asking her for consent. At this point there was no going back. our noses were touching each other, our breathe exchanging with each other. As soon as our eyes began to close and the tips of our lips touched each other, a scientist burst through the door. We quickly scrambled and went back to our sitting position. It was obvious the man had already saw us about to make our first kiss, that could've led to way more. I told myself to let it go, I'll try again next time.
-"She's awake!" The scientist yelled
Another scientist came in and dragged Lilith by the arm. She yelped as she was roughly dragged on the floor towards the test room. I could hear her yelling since they forgot to close the big iron door. I peeked my head out and saw where they were bringing her to. I got out the room, trying to sneak to the test room she was brought in. I slowly tiptoed to the door and crouched to hide from the scientist inside the room.
-"It's not working...ITS NOT WORKING!! THE STUPID VENOM DOESNT WORK!!" A scientist yelled, slamming his hands on the table. He then picked up a flask of a bubbling chemical.
I watched him pour all of the liquid into a syringe and mixed up the spider venom with it. He put in a huge amount of the fluids and shot into Lilith's arm. I could see her screaming and crying. The burning sting of the venom hurt so bad. I could understand why she was sobbing so hard, but i didn't know if the pain was also caused by the chemical that was mixed with the purple and green chemical. The stinging sensation could last up to 30 minutes to an hour.
they un strapped her from the bed, then suddenly she stopped screaming and began to slowly fall. She fainted and everyone in the room started panicking. Mrs. Denmark slammed the emergency button and the whole building went in lockdown mode.
-"NURSES NEEDED AT UNIT 3025! NURSES NEEDED AT UNIT 3025!" She yelled in the intercoms.
The scientist, Mr. Brown, grabbed Lilith's wrist and yelled "No pulse...NO PULSE!"
-"EVERYONE, STAY CALM. DR. SINGH, GO GET THE DEFIBRILLATOR!" Ms. Yolande yelled
I watched Dr. Singh sprint for the machine. He placed the machine on her chest and tried to revive her heart, while more and more scientists flooded the room. I continued to hide behind the wall, where surprisingly no one spotted me. Soon the room went silent. Dr. Singh suddenly stopped and took a deep breath.
-"She's gone. She's...she's gone Yolande-"
-"NO!!! THIS IS THE FOURTH TIME THIS WEEK WE LOSE ANOTHER TEST!!" She threw her clipboard and dug her nails into the bed.
Suddenly, it's like Ms. Yolande starting moving in slow motion. I saw her hand moving towards Lilith's face, she was about to hit her. I felt my body build up extreme anger and I ran into the room, breaking down the door.
-"DON'T TOUCH HER!!"
