"Hey, hey, hey, you're good Kiddo, you're good" My sister hugs me and the only thing I can do is look at the ceiling and I breathe really hard. I had a nightmare, about a giant man with such big horns, he was ugly and his face was distorted, he was trying to catch me. I looked for my parents, but they didn't answer.

"You know you're a child too, right?" I look at her, she's five years old, there's no reason for her to talk to me like that, she had read that name in a book that mom had given us, and she thought it was an appropriate name for me.

"I'm still your big sister, I have to take care of you, that's my job, so to me, you're my own child." She takes my hand tightly. "What happened? Nightmare again?"

But I didn't want to talk about it, it was always the same thing and no one could do anything about it. I just wanted it to stop. I just shook my head.

"You know you can count on me for everything, right? I'll always be here when you need me"

"I know, you say that all the time, there's no way to forget that" I say and she just smiles.

"But you don't have to say anything if you don't want to, we can stare at the wall all day if that's what you want to do. It's not like we have anything to do tomorrow."

She lies down on my bed, and holds me tightly, we just stare at the ceiling, without saying anything. As she had promised. My breathing begins to normalize and an invisible weight within me seems to lift.

"Bea" I close my eyes and rest my head on his chest, and I can hear his heart beating steadily.

"Yes?" She asks, as if she's almost asleep.

"Can you sing for me?" I lift my head and see her eyes widen

"Sing?"

"I like listening to you singing, it makes me sleep faster"

We don't say anything else for a long time, and I'm afraid she won't want to sing, or that she'll feel forced to sing. But then she squeezes me tight, and covers me up to my neck.

"There was a time when I was alone. Nowhere to go and no place to call home, my only friend was the man in the Moon and even, sometimes, he would go away, too" She sings near my ear and I feel happy.

"Then one night, as I closed my eyes I saw a shadow flying high. He came to me with the sweetest smile and told me he wanted to talk for a while. He said, "Peter Pan, that's what they call me, I promise that you'll never be lonely" and ever since that day"

"I am a Lost Boy from Neverland usually hanging out with Peter Pan" I sing and she laughs and nods.

"And when we're bored, we play in the woods, always on the run from Captain Hook."Run, run, Lost Boy", they say to me "Away from all of reality" She keeps singing and motivates me to sing , everything I had dreamed of seemed to disappear by magic.

"Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me and Lost Boys like me are free" I sing and yawn. I close my eyes and let myself be carried away by my sleep. But in the back of my mind I hear my sister continue singing.

"Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me and Lost Boys like me are free"

...

I woke up in agony, the car was completely silent. Miles was in his own world, listening to music on his headphones so loud he could hear them perfectly, and my father was as usual sleeping like an ogre. Azriel was driving in the dark on the road, accustomed to the dark.
