THIRD PERSON's POV:

It's been around 5 months since the day Y/N left Lisa's apartment, and after leaving New York, she decided to move to LA and room with her best friend Kira.

Kira's been Y/N's best friend since high school, but after graduation, the both of them sadly separated and moved to different states for college. But they never did they lose contact with each other.

Kira's met Lisa and lots of time during the time Y/N and her were dating, and the two became really close. Y/N was never sure if the two had kept in touch after Lisa and her broke up.. but she wouldn't be surprised if they hadn't.

Y/N would never do that to them, they had really bonded well, and even though Lisa's her ex now and Kira's her best friend. Y/N felt it wouldn't have been right to not allow them to stay as friends.

Today was New Year's Eve, and Y/N was just sitting on the living room couch, watching SpongeBob while petting Kira's orange tabby 'Garfield'.

"Hey Y/N, since it's New Year's Eve I was thinking of having a couple of friends over for some drinks tonight. You don't mind right?" Kira asked as she was in the kitchen making the both of them a sandwich.

"No, I don't mind. This is your apartment after all." Y/N answered as she continued to look at the screen.

"Y/N, you know damn well as long as you've living under this roof with me, this is your apartment too." Kira said as she began to plate their sandwiches. "And even when you do move out, you know this will still be your home. By the way, I spoke to my landlord and there's been word that the tenants below me maybe moving out soon. But it's not for sure yet."

Y/N couldn't help but give a small smile, appreciating and loving how thoughtful her best friend is.

"Thanks, hopefully there'll be an opening. I really like this building, it's clean, quiet, spacious, allows pets and is just in my price range."

"Exactly, now here. Eat, I'm getting so sick and tired of you only making ramen noodles instead of actual food that you can make." Kira said as she sat and handed Y/N her plate.

"Thanks, and come on, we practically grew up on instant noodles when our parents were too busy to cook." Y/N said before taking a bite of her sandwich.

"Yeah, but your an adult now, and you can't be living off that shit your whole life."

"Can too, once I get my own place, I promise you. I will have a whole cabinet full of only instant ramen noodles, of every kind there is."

"Your crazy." Kira said before taking a bite of her sandwich and looking back at the screen that played the SpongeBob episode.

"So, what friends are coming tonight?" Y/N asked.

"Just a few friends, you know. Sana, Irene, Felix, Christopher, Jennie and Jackson." Kira said, leaving out one more important name.

"Oh okay, so a full house basically." Y/N playfully joked, getting a small laugh out of Kira.

A few hours had passed and it was now 7:37pm, which meant everyone would be arriving soon. Y/N had gotten herself cleaned up and changed into some casual yet comfortable clothing.
