Where Hosoku stopped was the trash can. His eyes were intently looking inside of it... What is he expecting out of doing this??
"Creepy much? Looking into the girl's trash can?"
"I don't know if you would want to peer inside of here... It's a little mortifying if I say so myself."
I tensed. "What is it?" I asked, Hosoku promptly rolls the sleeves of his shirt. He then dispenses himself a paper towel from the nearby black dispenser. Using the paper towel, he utilizes them as a glove of some sort and reaching his hand inside and scrummaging inside it.
After a few seconds, what appears in his hands is a bloodied knife. The blood is dry from last night, covering the blade and a part of the handle.
"Scary, huh? I'm putting money that this is what killed Ms. Yokina."
"No shit, there's blood!"

Knife in the trash can"So pop quiz, what does this establish about the case, Black Cat?"
"Don't give me a pop quiz, we're solving a murder!"
"It's important either way."
"Well..." I paused to ponder. "I don't know it establishes that they used a knife to murder her? That's all to it!"
"Well there's more. If they wanted to take care of the weapon, they would've washed it in the sink and put it back into place. That would gain less suspicion, would it not? But they didn't, making me conclude that they were in a rush. Why? Cuz perhaps there was someone waiting for them. Do you know what that means?"
No, you said that all too fast.
"Everyone who stayed after Yokina was cleaning the dishes is a possible suspect."
"Excuse you?!" Maemi butts in rudely, her heels stomping as she approached Hosoku. She presses her finger onto his chest. "What," poke, "makes you," poke, "think," poke, "that I..." poke, "could be the murderer?!?" Poke poke poke poke— "Did you forget who our main suspect is? It's you!"
"Woah, relax there. I think I'm going to get chest cancer or something if you keep poking me there."
Now that's ridiculous...
"I heard that I'm a suspect?" Akito says, his mouth trembling. "I'm not a killer, I swear!!" Akito latches onto Hosoku's arm.
With the situation escalated, Maemi and Akito are now pulling him on opposite directions, sometimes moving directions so he moves like a miracle go round. "Y-You g-guys.." Hosoku's voice is shaking as he's continuously swirled around like a tornado.
"Guys!" I shouted amidst the chaos that was occurring in front of me. Both Akito and Maemi halted to a stop before looking at me. "As long as you prove yourselves innocent you'll be fine. And if you know you're not the killer, then with enough evidence and proof we can establish that you're innocent. Now... stop harassing the poor guy."
"Oh." Akito lets himself off Hosoku's arm, now pacified. "Sorry."
"Oh." Maemi puts her hand away and takes a step back, now pacified.
"Hah... Thanks, Black Cat." Hosoku smiles at me.
"So how can we prove ourselves innocent?!" Akito grabs my shoulders fiercely and pulls me toward him.
"Well I know I'm innocent but do you know?" Maemi pokes my shoulder.
"Hey, don't start this with me now!"
"How about you both tell us your testimonies and events that stuck out to you in particular," began Hosoku. "It's better not to lie. It's easier for you and us."
