Knock Knock

"..ZzzZ... zzZ..... ZZZ—"

Ding Dong Ding Dong Ding Dong Ding Dong Ding Dong Ding Dong Ding—

"GYAAAH! Who. Is. It?!" I slammed open the door in rage.

"Woah! Settle down Black Cat. It's just me, Ho—"

I slammed the door again, this time in shock, and somewhat, embarrassment.

"Lock it, lock it, lock it!" I locked it.

I turned my head to the convenient mirror that was hung up by the door, and stared down at my reflection. I looked like a mess. Strands of my hair stuck out, my bangs look oily, and... I'm wearing my pajamas that have Hello Kitty on them!!

I'm mortified.

In a few seconds, I became the Ultimate Multitasker. I swept my messy strands of hair using my hand as a comb, ripped off my pajamas, threw on my uniform, rinsed my bangs in the sink with shampoo, all in a matter of a minute.

"Whew..." I took a deep breath I slipped on my loafers and slowly opened my door with an optimistic smile.

"..."

"Kato, what the hell are you doing at my door?"

"What do you mean? I'm here to remind you about lunch."

"Well... what happened to..."

"Hosoku? He left for the cafeteria already and told me to take his place since you were taking forever."

You gotta be kidding me.

"Okay, well..." I groaned, shoulders slumped in disappointment. "Let's walk there I guess. I'm getting pretty hungry."

"Sorry I'm not your boyfriend, you don't have to be so depressed about it though."

"I'm not depressed!"

...

We both arrived in the cafeteria. I felt as though I was dragging my body rather than walking, after what happened I was left in a daze.

"Donuts! Yay!" Hikari cheered with a big smile on her face, her cheeks were flushed with excitement before she chomped into a strawberry frosted donut. "Yum."

"Wait, I thought Hikari couldn't have—" Kurai shot a glare that had the same weight as a thousand daggers. I clasped my mouth in panic.

"..." Kurai got out of her seat temporarily to whisper in my ear, "they're sugar free. Plus, she wasn't doing so well after... y'know. And if you couldn't tell, I'm not the best with comforting so the only thing I can give her is donuts."

I frowned. It was a little sad, Kurai is probably still horrified of the sight of that execution, but she doesn't even have time to cope for herself.

"You're a good sister," I said, patting her head.

...

"In what the world did I give you permission to pat my head?"

My hand swiftly retracted in fear. Kurai just now looked like a shark that was about to bite.
