I woke up on the usual morning getting up getting dressed brushing my teeth washing my face, then I grabbed my bag and stomped down stairs I wasn't even going to go into the kitchen just straight to school but just as I opened the door my mam appeared "Your not to hang around with Hopper" "Yeah yeah whatever" "Joyce your not to hang out with Hopper and you will come straight home after school" I rolled my eyes walked out the door and shut it in my mams face she wasnt going to boss me around, So just like any other day I walked to school well in this case I was ten minutes early, I waited and waited and waited
A half an hour later hopper finally shows up but I found it weird because he skips but is never late he also had his hoodie up and was looking to the ground so when he was walking in a ran jumped and put my arms around him "Hopper Hiii" "Hey Joy" He continued looking to the ground so I pulled up his head and kissed him "What's w- what happed" His face was all busted up his nose looked dislocated and there was blood on his ears "Nothing I fell" "Why do you still chose to lie" "I don't know, you see right threw it" "Come on we are going to the Doctors" "No please" "Let's go Hopper" I took his hoodie in one of my hands and dragged him out the school "Okay okay" I let go of his hoodie making sure he was still behind me as we walked I could feel the tears from in my eyes nobody deserves this expesully jopper he did nothing wrong.

When we got there there the lady at the front desk looked at us and seen hoppers face "Oh kid well I'm going to get you a doctor as fast as I can it's a Tuesday morning it's not busy trust me" We walked into the waiting room hopper was slowly walking behind me his head towards the ground and then I seen her. Robin. "Oh hey Joyce what you doing here" "Oh nothing I'm with my, my dad" I was panicked and I was hoping it wasn't showing "Oh okay who's your friend" Hopper was still looking to the ground "Dave" "Oh nice to meet you Dave" "He's deaf" I could hear Hopper chuckle a bit and looked at him "Okay kid there ready for you, what did you say your name was" A nice old lady asked, Hopper looked at her and then the lady looked at me "Kid what's your name" Robin looked over now also confused "Call me David" I sighed in relief as he also put on a bit of a deeper voice, I watched as Hopper walked off "Joyce who is that and why did you lie" "What" "You said he was deaf and his name was Dave" "Dave short fo-" "Its Jim isn't it" "Okay hes so what if it is stop acting like you care and just butt out of his life!" "Look kid I do care" "No you don't you left him you left and never came back he was about to kill himself but you weren't there" I looked at her tears in my eyes she wouldn't look at me, I wasn't trying to be an ass I was trying to look out for hop, she kept acting like she knew what's best for him when she had just left. I got up and waited outside.

When hopper walked out I sprinted and hugged him as tight as I could, he looks so big mean and scary but he's not he's just a little soft fragile teddy bear. "You okay Joyce?" "I love you hop" "Love you hun", As we were crossing the road going back to school I tripped down the curb and I could see a car coming but Hopper ran over stood infront of me and stopped the car just in time he then bent down and took his hand and placed it on my face "Are you alright Joy" I nodded my head and he picked me up bring me to the path were he checked my knees and elbows for cuts I chuckled "I'm not a kid Hop" "I know I know I just want you to be safe to be okay" I smiled at him "I know" We then walked into school and sent back to out class the teacher did stop to ask if Hoppers okay, fifteen minutes into one of our classes Hopper trew a note at my desk. Meet me under the steps need to talk. I looked at him and he shrugged his shoulders I was dying to know what he was going to tell me so when the bell rang I grabbed him and dragged him to under the steps, "Tell me" He smiled at me but soon after it faded which left me confused " I told them Joyce I had to" He looked almost scared "What told who what" He looked away and back at me "The doctors I told them I told them about my dad" I looked at him smiling softly and hugged him "I'm proud of you Hopper I'm really proud" He looked down at me and I looked in his eyes "You are" "Of course I am" I kissed him softly yet comforting, "I love you Joy" "I love you Hop" He pulled me in a tighter embrace inside I was scared for Hopper nothing good could possibly come out this but it had to be done no matter what because his dad could go to far and something terrible could happen and he just doesn't deserve that, when he pulled away we both decided it was best to go home early.
