"H-hi.." I greet the person at the foot of the door, as he pulls me in for a warm embrace, giving me a chaste kiss despite Jungkook's cold stare from the couch.
Caught in the delicate web of emotions, I found myself torn between two lovers. Each possessed a unique charm that tugged at my heart, leaving me in a constant struggle to decide between the familiarity of the past and the allure of a new beginning.
"Hey, took you long enough" Jungkook rise up from the coach, still wearing my clothes from last night as his is still wet.
Taehyung walks over to him, handing Jungkook a paperbag that contained his brand new branded clothes to change to for today while the latter thanked him for it.
"Thank you for looking after him, honey." Taehyung bows his head slightly to thank me, as he emphasizes the last word, making sure that Jungkook hears.
"N-no worries.." I gulped, refusing to meet his eyes and Jungkook's as the latter's expression is thick with jealousy upon hearing Taehyung call me 'honey' since that's what he used to call me.
After what happened last night, Jungkook's been needy this entire morning, as I recall his effort to make me stay in bed with him and make love all day as if last night wasn't enough.
That thought washes away as I think about Taehyung and I's exhange of text messages last night, wondering whether or not to talk about him telling Jungkook to come over, or just let that thought go.
"Nice apartment" Taehyung says, eyeing the small space, before his gaze stops to me.
The way he scans me is making my heart raced like a wild stallion, and my palms grew damp as nervous energy danced along my skin. It's like he knew something. The fluttering in my stomach was a symphony of anticipation. Or am I just paranoid.
Every time I think about what happened, guilt eats me up from the inside. It's like a constant weight on my conscience, a relentless reminder of my actions and the consequences they've caused. Jungkook wanted to talk about the situation we ended up in last night which I refused to do so.
"Shall we go?" Jungkook turns to Taehyung as he's noticed my uneasiness around my boyfriend.
"No. Let's stay and talk about last night." Taehyung's calm demeanor changes, as he stares at us coldly before sitting on the couch beside Jungkook.
Silence is defeaning, and as the seconds ticked by, I nervously looked at Taehyung, my gaze faltering and my fingers finding solace in fidgeting as I stood in front of my boyfriend and lover.
"It was okay, I'm glad Jungkook's fever didn't last long. He was able to fully rest last night." I tried my best to keep as calm as possible despite my inner turmoil.
Their presence had a way of turning my usually composed demeanor into a whirlwind of unease, leaving me searching for words that seemed to elude me in their presence.
