1 week later

The sound of her pointy heel hitting on the polished marble floor, is echoing through the long corridor.

Her brown silky hair, bounces with each step, tumbles down her shoulders in loose waves that frame her face. A healthy tan glows beneath her crisp white silk blouse with black wide pant, a pearl souvenir adoring her neck which she got from her brother.

Maybe this is called the sweet taste of freedom. She has a lot of worst chapters in her life and the last two and half weeks were among one of them. How her fate plays with her is quite amusing and ironic.

To get her head clear from the mess she unconsciously created, which was eventually cleared but still she was longing for some 'me' time and thats why she took 1 week leave from her work.

Somehow Jimin and that jerk of a boss of her gave her permission to take a break. According to her Jimin is a decent human being so it was no wonder he would agree but what actually was going on in his head that he also agreed and even told Jimin to mail her that this would be her paid leave.

When, where and how did he hit his petit head?

Upon entering her floor all she can hear muffled clicks of the keyboards and hushed chatter which is drifting from the behind walls, a low murmur sound is creating the proof of a busy workday in JK company, which has just begun.

Inhaling a deep breath she brings a wide smile. A genuine and bright one lit up her features as she walked through the hall and greeted her fellow colleagues.

Reaching her desk, a wave of nostalgia washes over her. The half-finished coffee mug from that evening she left hurriedly, a crumpled note from Jimin reminding her of an upcoming deadline, piles of files are sitting there, yet to be reviewed, it is all strangely comforting.

"Y/N, you're back!" A bubbly voice broke the silence. It was Yoon Minji, her cubicle mate, a tiny little whirlwind of energy ball, wrapped in a floral-patterned shirt with pink pencil skirt. "I missed you! How was your break?"

"It was nice." Y/N replied. "It's good to see you back, do you know we almost lost a deal with Mr Kawojaki for stupid Jungwoon, he almost hit her wife with a hard file just because....-"

And there the chatty sunshine opens her bag to brief her about everything that happened in the last one week whereas Y/N listens patiently while working on her mails, offering subconsciously the occasional "Oh no!", "no they didn't" when the stories demands.

Two hours ticked by as Y/N tiredly shifted through the backlog on her desk. Minji, thankfully, had disappeared for an early lunch leaving Y/N to the comforting silence and peace. Today she doesn't have any schedule of attaining meetings, or corresponding the dealers. More good for her because she doesn't have to face the devil of her life.

Just as she reached the bottom of the pile, a young intern, poked his head through her cubicle.

"Excuse me, Ms. Jung?" he stammered, "Mr. Park is requesting to see you in his office."

Mr. Park

A voice carrying the familiar warmth muffles behind the closed slide door , "Come in" followes, sliding the door open, Y/N steps inside, the familiar scent of leather and brewing coffee washing over her.

The room is a picture of controlled chaos. Papers are scattered across the expansive mahogany desk, some neatly stacked, others haphazardly piled. A half-eaten bowl of instant hot ramen sits precariously on the corner next to a steaming mug of coffee.

Jimin is sitting behind his desk lavishly, his sleeves rolled up, face carrying a peaceful aroma, round glasses hang loosely on his small nose. He looks up from a document, his famous eye smile spreads across his face. "Y/N! My baby, there you are," he greets, gesturing her towards a chair across from him.
