"I did expect it but he can do much better."

"It's all a scam, trust me."

"So, we agree Heath's a douche?"

Cameron averted all speculation like it's her second nature. Walking with her white headphone, she stormed the hallways with no such care. She knew, she had to accept James' offer but she wants to keep her ego intact. The online school board were filled with their edited pictures together. Some are cute, some are offensive on her part but she couldn't care less. Wishing everything to end as soon as possible, she's going to do something in an impulse. Something her old past would kick her in the guts for. She leaned against a class doorframe and said, "Can I see you for a sec..." James waited for more just like they had practiced over the phone last night. He raised an eyebrow and pull the cruelest smirk. "Babe."

Gasps can be heard from every corner. Students were trying to not seem obvious that they are eavesdropping but they definitely are. Cameron uses the acting gene in her blood and pull the sweetest smile as James hooked her hand on his. They left the room, leaving students' jaws drops to the ground. She had to go along with whatever James is plotting, that's the closest way she can keep her peace. He's the only person that keep the student at bay, being a student president and all. Students won't disturb her as long he's beside her. They'll end things when high school is no longer an every day worry. By that, nosy teenagers can't pester her anymore.

They strolled, hand in hand around school grounds, knowing that during recess is when students are most active. Cameron had to hold in her puke just to make this charade works. On the other hand, James was having the time of his life as he watched Cam's red face when she's not looking. She's a bad actress, the genes might have not switched on that all her raw emotions were shown on her face; uncomfortable. Or, she's good at masking her emotions but James is just skilled at deciphering Cameron. Nonetheless, she was good enough to make girls shooting daggers at her.

Last night, Kennedy being Cameron's wing woman in secret, ranted to James about her worries when Cam was showering. Their dispute on how to make their original plans worked was a waste of time as their plan operated almost perfectly. Heath was their unpaid actor. His reaction is exactly what they predicted; being a jerk. They posted numerous comments to stir Cameron's confidence. Nothing extreme, just enough to make her annoyed and agitated. After Kennedy left, Cameron checked the boards at last and she fumed with an unknown feeling she can't put a finger on. Mad, disgusted, uneased. In the end, she dialed a number and begins the second phase of Kennedy's and James' scheme.

"Say something. This is too weird." Cameron grumbled with such annoyance. Her eyes darts to a flock of girls who glared at her up and down. It might be her messy ponytail or her worn out sweater but either way, she just wants to squeeze their eyes out.

"Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light..." James hushed into her ear making her feel goosebumps all over her body. Cameron seems to get the hint as she continued the next line and this lasted after James sent Cameron to her next class.
