12. Go dancing on a rooftop
Three nights after our latest adventure over to Lake Mead, Harry had gone home and texted me non-stop about his latest ideas for fun.
Meanwhile, I was filling out a job application for Victoria's Secret at the nearby mall. Since my next year of college wasn't going to pay for itself, I assumed that a job was needed for this type of situation.
My sweatpants barely managed to keep my body warm with the cold air ventilating my apartment. Once again, everything felt empty, in a way. I missed Jenna terribly, not even sure if my best friend missed me at all.
With the death of my sister and father, and the absence of my closest friend, things had been rough. Harry took up most of my time, but I knew that he had other things to do other than hang around with me. 21 year-old men most likely hung around at bars, parties, and friend's houses. Not at their girlfriend's place all day.
To pass the time, I turned on the television and started watching the second season of Scandal on Netflix. The bowl of popcorn that I'd made was half empty after three episodes, and my phone had died long before that.
There wasn't much left for me to do other than make some sort of baked food, so I tore through the pantry until discovering what I had been looking for; the brownie mix.
The fat-girl in me was screaming with joy as I got all of the ingredients and began mashing them together along with the cocoa flavored dust and chocolate chips.
In the middle of my jam session to my Soundcloud, the doorbell rang. I tossed the spoon that was being used as a pretend microphone back into the brownie mix, and then hopped off of the countertop.
There, at the door, with the cheesiest of cheesy grins spread across his face, was Harry. Behind him stood Zayn, who gave me a shy wave of his hand before averting his gaze to the ground once again.
Harry hugged me quickly before pulling away and running into the kitchen, leaving Zayn and I alone in the doorway. "Come on in." I smiled at him, and couldn't help but notice how slowly but surely, he was getting back to normal, just as I was.
"Thanks," He smiled, but it quickly faded away. "Harry insisted that I come along with you two today. He said that it'd be a lot of fun." With a laugh, I told him that everything was fun if you were with Harry, and Zayn nodded in agreement.
"Do you have any idea as to what he's planned this time?" I shrugged my shoulders, walking into the kitchen and seeing Harry finishing the brownies for me.
"Thanks a lot," I fake-pouted, crossing my arms over my chest. "Those were for you." He simply rolled his eyes, and draped an arm across my shoulders.
"Sure they were. Anyway, tonight, we are going to hit every bar in town. It was Louis' brilliant idea, and he assured me that Liam will be the designated driver, since I was last time." Zayn perked up at his statement, smiling slightly. "Sounds good to me." The two boys joined in on my television marathon, asking about a billion questions in less than five minutes. It didn't bother me, though, seeing Zayn moving on was a great thing, and having Harry to spend the day with was even better.

After a good two hours of me doing magic tricks to impress the two boys, Zayn attempting to braid my hair, and then me braiding Harry's, and watching a month's worth of Netflix, the other boy's finally arrived, Liam and Louis both bringing girls along with them.
Niall couldn't help but hug all three of us, and then took a photo of Harry's french braid, and uploaded it to Instagram.
We all hung around my apartment for a good half-hour before Liam hopped into the front seat of his enormous Cadillac. "Where to first, my love?" He glanced at his new girlfriend, Sophia, from the mirror and she sat for a moment, thinking, until I made a suggestion.
"How about we go to the Open Door?" I suggested. Everyone mumbled something in agreement, other than Harry, who just squeezed my butt in approval. Since there were so many of us, I had to sit on his lap, and Niall had to sit on Zayn.
"You know," Harry began once everyone had hurried inside and left us alone. "There's something quite special about this place. I'd just have to be extremely fucking drunk to show it to you." With a small smile, I stood on tip-toe and pressed my lips against his.
"Too bad that you're going to tell me either way."

After one-too-many drinks, Louis was dancing on one of the booth tables, and the manager was shouting at him to get down. "I'm king! It's so high up here. Liv, come join me!" Everyone else had gone to the dance floor, but I stayed behind to try and get Louis to calm down.
"Fine," I sighed. "Only if you get down right after." He bobbed his head up and down in agreement, and held out a hand to help me up.
We danced on the table for a good twenty minutes until Liam forced us to get down, claiming that he'd drive the two of us home if we didn't listen. "You're no fun." I stuck my tongue out at him while Louis went back to the bar to get more drinks. This had been the third club that we'd driven to, and so far the best.
Harry soon emerged from the crowd of people and grabbed my hand. "Follow me," A smile was spread across his flushed cheeks. "I've got something to show you." Practically skipping behind him, I followed as we went up a flight of stairs, and through a heavy, metal door.
"I couldn't help but take a peek at your list before coming over this morning," He began, softly tracing lines along my cheeks. "Number 95; dance on a rooftop." He smiled down at me before taking both of my hands in his, whispering softly in my ear.
"I know that your favorite song is by the Neighbourhood." I nodded, listening carefully as he hummed the lyrics, laughing in the middle of it. "Sorry that I don't have any music, baby." With that, we hummed softly together.
He lifted me up carefully, spinning my body in circles as we laughed together. Our footwork was absolute shit, but Harry made up for it with the twirls and turns that he put me through.
"Harry," I whispered nervously, tears of happiness welling up in my eyes. "I have something to say." He pressed a finger to my lips. "Let me go first," Our eyes met, and he smiled widely. His beautiful, green eyes contrasted dramatically with my plain, boring brown ones. "I love you." Tears rolled down my face as I laughed happily, shaking my head.
In this moment, I realized that the last thing written on my list, the only one that mattered, had been completed.
"I love you too, Harry."
