Y/Ns POV
It was a pretty chill day out, which was weird because it's almost spring. You decided to go to a coffee shop downtown to heat up your body. While you were walking down you walked beside a theater. The theater was big and last year you were at that theater because you played piano in the orchestra for "In The Heights". It was somewhat difficult for someone new to piano to be able to play it because, though you have been in band since middle school, including marching band. Your school had no orchestra so, all you played was (Y/I) (Y/I stands for your instrument of choice I play French horn so 😋) you finally arrived to the coffee shop wearing your black legging and your show shirt (from 2023 of marching band). You went to the cashier and order (Y/F/D) (your favorite drink)
(I'm not writing the dialogue between the cashier and Y/N)
As you told them your name you went to go sit down. While you were sitting down you were humming a song you have been practicing on the piano. As you were zoned out for a while you began to come back to focus. You realized that a Puerto Rican man with his long hair tied into a slick back ponytail was eye balling you and your shirt. As they finally called your name you went to go back to your seat. When you sat down you realized the man had gotten up to go sit with you. You looked up and he had a HUGE grin on his face. "Are you in a band or orchestra or something?" He asked the grin still plastered on his face. "Actually both" you said with confidence. "Ooooh nice, what do you play" he said in awe (don't worry he is not hitting on us) "I actually play 3 instruments counting marching band, I play French horn in concert band, mellophone in marching band, and piano in orchestra" you said smiling back at the man who was listening very carefully. "Where do you play at?" He said STILL smiling but also curious. "Well I'm graduated now, of course but I actually played in the orchestra for "In The Heights" (sorry if a lot of the facts are false lmao also sorry for interrupting AGAIN) "oh my god! I played Usnavi in that!!" He said enthusiastically. "Oh wow! Didn't you write it to I heard?" You said curiously. "I did, in fact!" He said confidently. "What are you working on right now?" I said eager to find somewhere to play again. "I'm working on a musical about Alexander Hamilton because he is very underrated" "No Kidding!" I said very surprised. "I actually was eye balling your shirt because, we are very short on orchestra players and we have no one to play the piano so would you like to audition for the parts?" He asked eagerly. "I would LOVE to!" You said with a smile and very excited. "Great we will have auditions next week on Monday at 4:30 pm, until then at 7 pm Saturday I will let you meet the cast and the orchestra. I will also give you the audition music..." he continued as you were listening "may I ask if you have a piano at home?" He said calmly. "Ah yes I do just give me the music and I should be set to show up!" I said. "Okay great, may I have your number for the rest of the details?" You gave him your number and off he went. You finished up your coffee and head back home awaiting what's to come.
