Warnings: Cursing

The boat docked in Port Ormos. It took a few days for the boat to sail around the continent and Y/N couldn't wait to stretch her legs. She practically bolted off the ship when the ramp was secured. Even though she was on solid land she could still feel the sway of the boat.
She stretched her arms up in the air, feeling the ocean breeze. She was very happy to leave her winter coat behind, knowing she wouldn't need it at any point during this trip. She admired the scenery around her. Port Ormos was beautiful and she thought Zandik was lucky that he grew up near this. She was amazed at how people were able to build around and in trees, giving everything a very earthy feel.
Zandik moved past her, walking down the dock. She caught up to him excitedly., "Where do we go after this?" She asked, catching up to his walking speed.
"We still have to get to the Akademiya." He continued at his fast pace. Just from his demeanor she could tell he was in a bad mood. "We will take another boat there. It will be at least another hour."
"Alright." She simply said, not wanting to make him angry by wanting to stop every few shops to see what kind of things they sold. Plus she knew she had a whole month to explore the country.
She started to notice the thing that hovered over one side of everyone's ears. She was wondering what it was and why everyone had them. "What are the things everyone has on their ears?"
"It is called the Akasha System." Zandik tiredly informed her. "It allows people to access the knowledge of the Akademiya."
"That sounds really cool!" She exclaimed, amazed by the idea that so much knowledge can be accessed through one device. "Would we get one?"
"Absolutely not." He said in a deep tone.
"Why?" She questioned further. "Is it because we're outsiders?"
"It is for our own safety." He simply stated, ending the conversation.
From the sound of that alone, she pondered for a moment what he could've meant by that. Did Zandik hint that they were in fact dangerous devices? She worried for the sake of the citizens if all of them wore one but there was a reason as to why Fatui members wouldn't. She had a feeling that the access of knowledge worked both ways, and it was to protect the Fatui's secrets.
They arrived at the elevator pulley system, the two Fatuus that accompanied them stayed a few steps behind, carrying their luggage. She took a few steps into the structure, looking up to see the platform lowering towards her.
She was being careful, knowing not to stand under it long enough to get crushed, but Zandik was not in the mood to deal with it. He grabbed her by the wrist, aggressively pulling her away. She looked at him, even with the mask on she could tell he had a serious look.If she could read his mind, she already knows the response. 'Stop messing around'.
"Sorry." Y/N murmured, standing back at his side.
Y/N and Zandik stood side by side for a few moments longer, waiting for the platform to reach the bottom. All four of them stepped on and the platform started to rise. The movement caused Y/n to stumble slightly. Zandik quickly grabbed her again, not wanting her to fall off the platform. She was not far from the edge, but it was obvious that there was enough room in between the platform and wall for her to fall through, and the fall would most definitely be fatal.
Once they stepped off the platform, they walked towards the bridge. The bridge was high above the water. The arches on either side were beautiful but she could only admire it for a moment. Once they reached the other side of the bridge and started to walk down the path that led them back to waterlevel. She questioned why they needed to reach the other side of the water if the boat could've just picked them up from the side they were originally on.
