Cody's POV:

Today is Monday, third period, and officially my second week at Total Drama Highschool.

It's shitty here.

I guess some kids are tolerable, and I did join band. Yet, most of my classmates are either weirdos, or just major bitches. Trent, who I sit next to in first period, is nice. He's also apart of band, which doesn't have many members. I actually joined that band though, which is fun. Him and I talk in class, yet somehow we've never gotten in trouble for it. There's also Justin and Harold, who are the only other kids who joined band. They're nice I guess, Harold is a major nerd and Justin is like a hot, popular guy.

Other than them, I don't talk to much other people. I sit behind the bleachers at lunch, some other kids and friends do to. It's big bleachers though, so they're farther away from me. I don't want to seem like a loner, even though I am. Not like I spend my whole day socializing and making friends, but my social battery runs out fast so I need at least some time alone.

This new school has really changed my attitude. I'm more mad at other people, and get irritated more easily. What doesn't help are my classmates.

Flashback to Thursday last week

Cody's POV:

I hate math so much. I wish I was in social studies, it's so much easier and more interesting. When will I even be needing to know all of this shit. Being honest, I don't even know what we are learning.

"Okay Gwen, can you answer question number 5?" My teacher asked. Her name is Mrs. Reyes. She has a strong-ish Filipino accent, a lot of kids mock her for it.

"Uhm." Gwen muttered. I don't even understand math either, so she's honestly related for not knowing.

"Dude can that fag just hurry up." Some kid said to me. I'm guessing he's not one of those socially awkward kids and will literally talk to anyone.

"What?" I responded.

"What do you mean what? Come on we all know she's a fag it's not a big deal, she knows it herself. You're only getting defensive cause you know you're a faggot yourself." He said.

I just didn't even respond. I don't really care for his mini yap session, it's just nonsense. It was so random, and out of the blue that I don't even know what to say. I've been called a fag 100 times before, but I don't even know this weirdo. He looks like a green highlighter because of the stupid Mohawk.

Cody's POV:

"Okay class, I have an announcement. It's about the project you're starting." Ms. Fontana announced. Her announcement snapped me out of my daydream. I was just recapping how this school has been so far, and thinking about that weird highlighter dude.

"You guys will be working in groups of four. You will be writing an at least 300 page story about whatever you choose." She announced. Ms. Fontana teaches creative writing, and after school she hosts the photography club. The yearbook club and photography club work together, which everyone thinks it's because the teachers hosting those clubs are in love. Everyone says Ms. Fontana and Ms. Felix, -the art and yearbook teacher- are lesbians and secretly love each other, which I don't doubt.

I got to choose to take creative writing, and I guess it's okay. But now I have to work with other people, and I have no friends in this class.

"I am being generous by letting you guys work in groups of four for a 300 pages story. Almost every author does that on their own. I am also allowing you guys to choose your partners. So I'll give you guys the rest of class to find your groups, and start planning out your stories."

Now, I just have to sit here and see whatever group ends up not having enough people.

"Hey, your name is Cody right?"

"Huh? Oh yeah, it is."

"I'm Izzy! Would you like to join our group? Please." She asked dragging out the please.

"Oh, uh sure!" I responded.

That was easier than I thought, I guess.

"So, new friend Cody, this is the rest of our group! Eva and Noah! Except, haven't you already met Noah? Whatever, let's get to thinking!" Izzy exclaimed.

I can tell she's very energetic. I guess I'm also her friend now.

"Oooooo maybe we can write a story about this girl, Explosivo, and her love for explosions! Where she ends up exploding all of North and South America. And it ends off on a cliffhanger where she's on her way to Asia, to blow that up too!" Izzy exclaimed loudly.

She's very, creative I guess. I don't know what runs through her head, but she's pretty funny. Even if my new friend is weird, it's better than being alone in class.

"How about something normal." Eva says.

"Or something actually worth someone's time." Noah responded.

I recognized Noah as he was my tour guide. We never talked after the whole tour stuff.

"I'm honestly fine with whatever you guys come up with." I said.

"Well if you'd let us write that dumbass story Izzy came up with, I would be concerned." Noah responded.

"Hmmmm, how about a story about a girl on an adventure to find her true love!" Izzy exclaims.

"Aren't there already like a thousand books like that?" Noah questioned.

"But it would work, we just need to write something decent enough to pass. It can be corny or basic, I don't really care." Eva responded.

"Yeah, I agree." I said.

"Then that it is!" Izzy sort of yelled.

The whole class, as I could tell, is already used to Izzy's energy and loud voice. So I'm guessing they don't care whenever she exclaims random stuff.

"You do you then." Noah said, switching back to reading his book.

I watch as Izzy pulls out her phone and goes to the calculator app. She divides 300 by 4, I'm guessing to determine how many pages each of us have to write.

"So we all have to write at least 75 pages each!" She exclaims.

"Yippee." Noah says in a sarcastic tone, very obviously not being serious.

"Okay." Eva says blandly.

"We can start writing tomorrow. So for now, Cody tell me about you!" Izzy says.

"Like what?" I asked.

"I don't know! Where you came from, why you joined school late, if you have siblings, your favorite color, if you've ever had se-" Izzy got cut off by Eva saying.

"One at a time Izzy, you can overwhelm him. Plus, that last question maybe leave out." Eva said.

Eva looks like she could snap my neck in a second, which she probably would. I wonder if her and Izzy have something going on. I've seen Eva starting drama with other people, and Harold warned me that she was apparently scary or something. Maybe she just has a soft spot for Izzy.

I guess these are the people I'm stuck with for a while. They seem cool though, maybe we'll become better friends later on.
