Cody's POV:

It's been a couple weeks since having that conversation with Noah over text. It's almost the end of first semester, and overall my life has already been turning around. Only a bit ago I was starting at this school, then hating everything, to now finally having a friend group. I don't know how much I'm growing, it's hard to tell.

After going through another one of my phases, I'm realizing how I'm more introverted than I am an extrovert or ambivert. I used to be way more outgoing, hopefully I can become the person I used to be. Just without the toxic people around me.

My phone buzzed. I forgot that Izzy added me to the group chat with Noah, Eva, and Owen. When Izzy put her number in my phone she made her name "Kaleidoscope." I don't exactly know why.

Kaleidoscope- HAIIII

Eva - hiiiii

Noah - what are you guys yapping about 💀
Noah - It's 11 pm on a Thursday go to sleep

Owen - its fun to stay up :)))

Noah - Are all of those extra parenthesis after that smiley face representing your double chins???

Noah - Guys I'm joking

Kaleidoscope - I WAS WONDIERNG IF YOU GUYS ARE GOHBG ON THE END OF SEMESTER FIELD TRIL???

Noah - First of all, take some typing lessons
Noah - Second of all, fuck no ‼️

Eva - field trips aren't exactly my thing
Eva - plus where is the field trip to??

Me - how do you guys understand Izzy's typing?? 💀 its all caps with spelling mistakes

Owen - youll learn it overtime

Noah - yeah

Owen - I think I may go tho!!!
Owen - its to a fair
Owen - I love fair food

Noah - you can't even fit on 90% of the rides

Owen - not my point

Me - I mean if the majority of you guys aren't going I probably won't either

Noah - why would I want to walk around with our classmates 🤨

Owen - Goodbye Izzy

Me - Byee

Everyone just decided to go offline also because Izzy started the conversation, and we had nothing to talk about. Once you get to know them more, you can see how they truly act. Eva is a lot nicer than she seems, Noah is actually pretty funny, Owen and Izzy are what people assumed they are. I guess I'm going to a fair now.

(Time skip to field trip)

Cody's POV:

"Guys should we go on that ride!" Izzy exclaimed pointing at some UFO ride.

"Alien Abduction? Isn't that the ride from Diary of a Wimpy Kid?" Noah asked.

"How do you still even remember what happened in those movies?" I asked.

"Good memory I guess." Noah responded.

"But let's go on it!" Izzy recommended.

"Dude I just ate, I ain't going on that shit." Noah said.

"I think I'm good for now, I just went on like fifty other rides with you Izzy." I said, pleading to not go on.

"I want to go get more food! See you guys soon!" Owen exclaimed, going totally off topic.

"Damn he left fast." Eva said in response to Owen leaving immediately. Maybe he's scared, genuinely wants more food, both, we don't know. "But I'll go on with you Izzy."

"Yay!" Izzy exclaimed in response. Eva doesn't entirely match her energy, but she obviously likes her. So she's pretty much willing to push herself a bit more for her.

"Let's wait over here Cody." Noah said walking in the direction of some random area. Izzy and Eva went in line for the ride that was some-what long.

Around us were many couples. Mike and Zoey, they've been a couple for a while. Zoey loves Mike no matter what, she is supportive of the fact he has DID. There's also Brick and Jo, Jasmine and Shawn, just multitude of couples.

Sometimes I wish I had someone like that, boyfriend or girlfriend. Or anyone in between. Honestly I don't care. I've reached phases in my life where I think I'm unloveable. But sometimes the people around me show that maybe there is a chance, just needs to be right person, right time. I hope there is someone out there like that for me.

(Time skip to leaving to fair)

Cody's POV:

"Okay guys, get in lines based off of what bus you're riding back to the school!" Some random teacher exclaimed.

"Aren't you guys so glad you came?" Izzy asked us. She wasn't holding many different prizes, and so was Eva. Surprisingly, Izzy is pretty good at winning games and so she's making her and Eva hold them. I'm shit at those games, but Noah won me one. I don't know why he gave me the prize he got, he claimed he just didn't want it. I probably shouldn't think that deep into it.

"I would've survived if I didn't go." Noah said.

"Always breaking the mood." Izzy said in a jokingly sad tone, dragging out the "o" in the word mood. "But I don't care what you say Noah! I had tons of fun and so did everyone but you! Even Cody!" Izzy exclaimed. She just wanted to prove Noah wrong, even though she wasn't for sure correct.

"Whatever." Noah said in response.

"Guys we have to go to the bus, c'mom" Eva told us as she started walking forwards following the rest of our out-of-order line.

"Coming!" Izzy exclaimed.

Oddly, the things that happened today gave me hope. Hope in finding love. Hope in getting better. Hope in living a good life, and surviving high school.
