The Vampire: The Life of Katherine

Chapter 9

February 9th 1742

Galway Ireland, Katherine is sat in a carriage which is taking her to see Katie, after she sent word to Aurora to see her. In her letter it says that she wishes to see Katherine as soon as she can. Katherine not wanted to use a portal as she prefers to travel, so six months after leaving Antony, she received the letter from Aurora.

The carriage comes to a stop and Katherine is let out, Katherine looks at the large home which she thinks is just beautiful, it's not a mansion or manor, just a very large house. Katherine knocks on the door and a very beautiful middle-aged maidservant answers, she had light brown hair with beautiful green eyes, a curvy frame with nice sized breast, Katherine can tell that she gets a lot of male attention.

"Hello. May I help you milady?" The woman said in a thick beautiful Irish accent.

"Hi, I'm here to see Mrs McMyler please." Katherine says with a sweet smile.

"May I ask your name please milady?" The woman asked. Katherine smiled

"of course, I'm Katherine, she's been expecting me for quite some time." She tells her with an innocent smile. The woman's eye's widened and she bows.

"Pulchra Creaturae, it's an honor to meet you Lady Katherine, please come in." The servant says with excitement, Katherine could sense that she was a witch.

Katherine enters and follows the servant into the kitchen where Katie is cooking with a young dark haired girl, who looked no older than five years old. This brought a smile to Katherine's face as she remembers bonding with Aurora, whether it was teaching her to ride a horse, teaching her to use a sword or a bow and arrow.

They never cooked as Katherine doesn't know how as she's never had to learn, but it did look fun as Katie and her daughter have smiles on their faces and are covered in flour. Katie looks up and sees Katherine, fear quickly spreads through the kitchen towards Katherine, this shocks Katherine as Katie is an old friend of hers and Aurora's, so she never needed to fear her.

"Hello Katherine, it's nice to see you." Katie says to her,

"it's nice to see you too Katie. What is it that you wish to speak to me about?" Katherine asked with a smile and sits down at the kitchen table and relaxes, Katie turns to her daughter.

"Go play outside my darling Fiona as mummy needs to speak to her old friend Katherine." She says with a sad smile and the child shrugs

"okay mother." Fiona says in the cutest little Irish accent, Katherine thought that the child was adorable and would grow up to be as beautiful as her mother and just as wicked.

The last part makes Katherine smile, Katie walks over to Katherine and kisses her cheek and sits down next to her, the smell of fear has gotten stronger, if the law didn't state that magicals are to be neutral in Lucifer's army, Katherine would eat Katie as she smells fantastic with how much fear is coming off her.

"I've invited you to come Kat as I have some very bad news and I don't think that you'll like it, but as my friend I needed you to hear it from me and no one else." Katie tells her.

Katherine's listed to Katie's heart beat as it becomes deafening to Katherine.

"What seems to be the problem?". Katherine asked generally concerned as to what would make her friend so scared.

"Liam and my daughter Fiona haven't gotten any supernatural gifts." She says to her. Katherine's study's her friend for a moment and just lets the information swirl around in her head.

"How has Liam not got any abilities? Are you sure that he was Johnathan Benson's child?" Katherine demanded to know.

"Yes Katherine, I only laid with Johnathan and obviously my daughter is my husband's." She tells Katherine.
