The Vampire: The Life of Katherine

Chapter 14

December 27th 1835

Chicago Illinois, Katherine is sat in her study, in her fighting outfit and Samantha is sat on the desk wearing a silk kimono, Aurora is sat on the other side of Katherine's desk wearing her black leather fighting outfit. Katherine has a letter in her hand written by Layla, telling her that she has seen Lord Amon traveling with Lady Persephone.

"Daughter is this true?" Katherine asked her, Aurora just looks down at the floor.

"Yes mother, Antony told me. I wonder who Antony prefers to fuck out of me, and you mother?" Aurora says with a smile on her face. Katherine and Samantha choose to ignore her madness.

"Emma and Danielle have both confirmed it." Samantha tells her.

"He's lost his fucking mind, if I wasn't so busy with this Hunter. I'd go and kick his ass." Katherine says to them, rage is just pouring off her in waves.

Irina comes barging into the study wearing nothing but a bedsheet.

"Have you heard about Amon and Persephone?" Irina asked as she just received a letter from Lady Celeste. Katherine changes into her vampire face.

"Fuck off Irina!" She yells at her. Irina just smiles and sits down next to Adele.

"Your mother is very moody this morning darling." Irina says with a smile.

"Yes daddy has been naughty and won't play with us anymore. Bad daddy." Aurora tells her looking very cross then she starts to giggle at a joke only she heard.

"Irina. I'll let you choose how to leave. Window or door? Your fucking choice, this is a family matter." Katherine tells her. Godfrey steps in when he hears his mate being shouted at.

"Don't forget whose home this is Katherine and watch your tone with my mate." He shouts at her.

Katherine gets up and Samantha gets up and dives into the corner of the room, Katherine opens the curtains to let the sun in. Irina pulls the bedsheet up over her and Godfrey dives out of the way. His hands and face are burnt, he's standing in the corner in pain listening to his body sizzling.

Katherine walks over to him and strokes Irina's head under the bedsheet, she stands just out of arms reach.

"Listen closely Godfrey. I'm here on the council's orders. Not yours. I was handpicked by Lilith to be her right hand, so technically I'm higher ranked than you. So the next time you run your fucking mouth I'm going to show you the sun and make Irina watch you burn alive. Do we understand each other?" She demands.

"Yes Katherine." Godfrey says to her.

"Good. At the end of the day Godfrey I'm your mates best friend, I'm not a member of your court or are you in away in charge of me. I'm Lady Katherine. Pulchra Creaturae and I demand fucking respect. Aurora close the curtains." Katherine's says and Aurora wave's her hand and the curtains close.

Godfrey relaxes, Katherine gets right in his face.

"You maybe ten thousand years old but you don't scare me. But I can smell your fear handsome. Because the next outburst from you and I'm gone." She tells him.

"That's fine Kat. But you leave, and you will put a target on your back." He tells her. This just makes Aurora burst out laughing.

"Godfrey you are funny. Mother and father beat the council once. Speak to my mother like that again, and I'm telling father." She says to him with a very stern look.

"Like I said this is a family matter so both of you get the fuck out." Katherine tells them. Irina wraps herself back up and her and Godfrey leave the study. Samantha walks back to the desk and sits on it.
