The next day, Lorraine took Delphine out on a date to a French restaurant in the heart of London. The two women sat at a cozy table by the window, the soft glow of candlelight casting a warm ambiance over the room. Delphine looked stunning in a sleek black dress, her dark hair cascading over her shoulders in soft waves. Lorraine couldn't help but feel a flutter of excitement in her chest as she gazed at her across the table.

As they sipped on glasses of champagne and enjoyed a delectable meal of coq au vin and creamy risotto, Lorraine found herself nervously tapping her fingers against the tablecloth. She knew this was the moment she had been waiting for, the moment when she would finally gather the courage to ask Delphine to be her girlfriend.

"Delphine," Lorraine began, her voice slightly shaky. "I've had such an amazing time getting to know you these past few weeks. You're unlike anyone I've ever met before, and I feel like there's so much potential for us to be something special."

Delphine's eyes widened in surprise, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "Lorraine, I feel the same way," she replied softly. "I've never felt this connected to anyone before, and I would be honored to be your girlfriend."

Lorraine felt a rush of relief and joy flood through her as she reached across the table to take Delphine's hand in hers. "I'm so glad to hear that," she said, her heart pounding in her chest. "There's something else I wanted to ask you, though."

Delphine's brow furrowed in confusion. "What is it?" she asked, her curiosity piqued.

Lorraine took a deep breath, steeling herself for what she was about to say. "I know this might be a lot to take in, but I wanted to ask if you would consider joining me at MI6," she said, her gaze searching Delphine's face for any sign of hesitation.

Delphine's eyes widened in surprise, a look of disbelief crossing her features. "Joining you at MI6?" she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper. "Are you serious?"

Lorraine nodded, a determined glint in her eyes. "I am serious, Delphine. I believe you have what it takes to be an incredible agent, and I would be honored to have you by my side. What do you say?"

Delphine was speechless for a moment, her mind racing with a whirlwind of emotions. The idea of working alongside Lorraine at MI6 was both thrilling and terrifying, but deep down, she knew she couldn't pass up this incredible opportunity.

After a moment of contemplation, Delphine finally nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "I would love to join you at MI6, Lorraine," she said, her eyes shining with excitement. "I can't wait to see what the future holds for us."

Lorraine felt a surge of pride and happiness well up within her as she squeezed Delphine's hand tightly. "I can't wait either, Delphine," she said, her voice filled with emotion. "I know we're going to make an amazing team."

As the two women finished their meal and prepared to leave the restaurant, Lorraine couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for the future. With Delphine by her side, she knew that anything was possible, and she was ready to take on whatever challenges came their way.

As they stepped out into the cool night air, hand in hand, Lorraine and Delphine walked into the unknown with hearts full of hope and determination. The road ahead would be filled with obstacles and dangers, but they knew that as long as they had each other, they could overcome anything that came their way.
