Engagement

KASHISH'S POV

"Lo beta, Akshat ji ke liye jo ring banwaayi thi woh aagyi hai, ek baar dekho toh kaisi hai!" My mother suggested offering her hand forward with the ring placed on it.

It was nice, plain golden with very small golden gems fixed all over its front with strings of white and deep red diamonds drawn between them.

So beautiful. I can't wait to see it around his finger. Today is 31st and on 7th, I'll be a married woman.

Today's probably the last time I'm gonna see him before our marriage. After 3-4 days functions will start with full force.

I have decided to wear a royal deep blue coloured embroidered lehenga today. It looks pretty.

Now, i just can't wait for the evening.

After that date, i have even more resistance in resisting him.

I mean I can't just cling onto him or pounce on him whenever.

He is such a gentleman. I keep on falling for him.

I blushed over my thoughts and soon a serene smile keeping aside the excitement, gloomed over my face thinking about how I'm so lucky to get someone like him.

Only few hours are left and now I'll have to get my makeup and dress up done.

Come soon Akshat ji.

"Jao Kashish, ready ho jao. Makeup artist bhi aa gye hain."

Time Skip

I got into the outfit and it fitted perfectly. Now i just have to reach the venue.

...........

I entered the venue with my parents and cousins beside me. We were present there before time so, while waiting we rested in one of the rooms.

After about half an hour i heard a commotion outside and soon my cousin Preeti came and announced that the groom has arrived.

My face lit up and before i could even process all of it they ushered me out of the room.

Thanks.

I walked down the stairs and in front of my straight gaze he came towards the stage dressed in midnight blue three piece suit.

So beautiful.

Our paths crossed and he offered me his hand for support while climbing up on the stage.

We settled on the sofa and relatives gathered around us chattering about preparations and to start the ceremony.

"Arey chalo bhai, time ho gya hai, function shuru karo!" The ladies announced and soon both of us were offered the ring.

We got to know that I was the one who will go first, so i lifted my hand while he made wear the ring keeping a gentle support of his hand under my fingers.

Next, his hand floated in front of me, waiting for the ring to be placed around his finger. I made him wear it softly and letting my touch linger there a bit before pulling back.

The photographers came around and clicked us, our hands. They told to us intertwine them and i blushed.

Soon being over with that, dances happened, and somehow we were saved from performing our first dance here in middle of elders.

After having dinner, it was now time for the departure. Only the family members and close relatives were left.

Everybody started moving out and i followed with my dress slowing me up a little bit.
