Chapter 6: Learning Point

They hear a knock at the door as they begin to head up stairs. They all stop and watch as Chan goes to open the door. As he opens the door he sees security guards standing outside so he opens the door fully for them. As they all walk in the last two catches the girls eye. It's Alex and Jack, Mr. Black's top security.

Addison's POV:

I see Alex and Jackie walk through the door looking at me with a slight smile on their faces. "Alex, Jackie what are you doing here I say as I run up to them giving them a hug," I say. " Your father sent us to keep an eye on you Miss," Jack says. Alex gives him a look. "My father told you not to say anything didn't he," I ask. They just look at each other and that's my answer. "If the two of you are here then who is keeping an eye on my father," I ask. "Addi don't worry he's safe. Your father wouldn't send us here if he wasn't. Trust me," Alex says. I nodded my head knowing they were right my father is a smart man. I glance behind because I hear footsteps and see Amelia and Aurora walking over with the boys. The girls say hello to Alex and Jack and give out hugs. Just then a thought occurred to me. Is that why Xavier wouldn't look at me earlier. "Jackie can I ask you something," I say getting everyone's attention. " Of course Miss, what is it," he replies back to me. "Is Xavier here because my dad asked him to come keep a close eye on me or is it something else, " I asked. Jack just glances over at Alex and then back at me. That gives me my answer. He is here because my father asked him to be. I just shake my head walking away to my room. I make my way to the 2nd floor and as I am about to reach my door a hand grabs me. I grab their wrist and slam them into the wall. Jack puts his hands up and apologizes. I instantly let go. "I'm sorry Jackie, you surprised me," I say as I let him go. " No need to apologize miss, I know better than to try and grab you," Jack says. " What do you need Jack," I ask getting straight to the point. I can see that he is hesitating to say anything. "Speak," I say loud enough for Alex to start walking up the stairs. Alex walks over towards us about to speak when I put my hand up. "Jack you came after me for a reason so I suggest you speak up now or else," I say. "Miss Addison," Alex begins as I cut him off. " I am not speaking to you, I am speaking to Jack, he's a big boy and can speak for himself," I say as I look at Jack waiting on him to speak. " Miss Addison, I just came to check on you. You seemed angry when we wouldn't talk to you about Mr. Xavier," Jack exclaims. " I am fine Jackie, no need to worry about me," I say smiling at him. Alex and Jack both look at each other clearly not believing me. I tell them that I am sleepy and that I'm going to bed. They both turn to walk down the stairs as I grab the handle to my room. I enter to see a massive room. A giant king size bed in the center, with a vanity in front of the window. A dresser right across from the bed with a 55 inch flat screen television. Next to the dresser is a door leading to a bathroom. I look to my right to see two double doors leading to a walk in closet. It has been filled with most of my clothes from the states, clearly my fathers doing. I sit on my bed and pull out my phone, dialing my fathers number. After two rings I hear his voice, "Hello, my dear daughter. How are you settling in," he asks. " I'm settling in very nice father, thank you. This house is lovely," I say as I hear him smile on the other side of the phone. " I am glad that you like it. The girls? How are they," he asks. " They're good father no worries. Besides the fact that TOAX is here," I say as I hear my fathers breath catch in his throat. I hear him clear out his throat as he begins to speak, " Oh they are, well isn't that nice. How's Aurora feeling about that?" I giggle in response, " Nice try father, I know why they're hear no need to play dumb with me." He instantly goes to serious mode as he begins to speak, " I understand if you are angry Addison, but you have to understand that I have many enemies over there. If they were to find out that you're over there they could come after you. I just want you to be safe. You are the most important thing in my life," he says. " I know, and I'm not angry. I was just shocked to see Alex and Jack here. They're top security and it made me worried about you is all. I'm more upset with Xav. He's acting like I don't exist and it got on my nerves," I say. I can hear my father chuckle on the other side of the line. "Don't laugh at me," I reply. " I'm sorry honey, have you tried talking to him," he asks. I just roll my eyes and snort. " Come on father you and I both know that when he's on a mission he avoids me at all cost. I am his biggest distraction." He just hums in response. " I love you dad, I'm going to go now though good night," I say. After getting off the phone with my dad I send a message to the one person I know won't say anything to Xavier if I text him.

Aurora's POV:

I watch as Addi walks up stairs clearly annoyed. I'm about to go after her when Jack walks past me heading up after her. I decide it's best if I let them handle it. It's family business that I have no concern with. I walk over to the smaller living area and take a seat on the sofa there. I can hear Addison raise her voice to Jack upstairs when Amelia comes to sit next to me. " How are you doing," she asks. The worry is clear in her voice. " I'm okay, just confused as to why he is here. I mean it has been 2 and a half years since I last saw him," I say. She put her hand on my knee as a way to console me. The worry must have been pretty noticeable on my face as Felix and Han walk over to me and Amelia. " Hey are you okay," Felix asked. I look up at him and Han and nod my head yes. "She just doesn't do well with new places," Amelia responds before I get the chance to do so. I just slap her on the arm as the boys just laugh. I look at the stairs as I hear someone coming down them. " I'll be back later, don't wait up," Addison says as she walks out the door.
