"Okay, so all you have to do is put your fists together facing each other then sit crisscross with one leg hanging up and jump then you have an air scooter." Aang smiles at me zooming around me on his air scooter.
We have been at this together trying to teach me the air scooter or at least air bend a little. I put my fists together then jump and put my right leg under me and jump but fall back on my ass.
"Aang I just don't think that I'm meant to be an airbender. I mean I can't even create a little gust of wind. Plus, that really hurt." I say rubbing my butt trying to get the pain to go away.
"Kirro don't say, that of course you were meant to be an airbender. You were born an Air Nomad for spirit's sake." He says grabbing my hands in his and caressing them with both of his thumbs.
He was towering over me because of the height difference and due to him hitting a growth spurt. I was getting frustrated by the minute not being able to airbend. I mean have you heard of an Air Nomad not being able to Airbend? But what really made me mad was that nobody wanted to even talk to me except for my best friend Aang of course.
Ever since I was little I have shown no sign of airbending, and to say that was not normal, it wasn't. So being the nonbender I am I would get bullied a lot but ever since I met Aang he has changed my life. He has made me not afraid to stand up for myself and most of all he likes me for me. And I like him for him. Nobody wanted to be his friend ever since they found out he was the Avatar being afraid of being out-bended. So use being the outsiders we decided to be friends and do anything we can for each other all the time. And that's how I may have gotten a little crush. But I would never admit it of course because it was instantly shut down since the Avatar is supposed to have a soulmate called the Akasha. Screw that bitch.
"Monk Gyotso! What are you doing here I thought you were supposed to be with the other Monks discussing our lesson today?" Aang says, shooting me out of my thoughts and looking towards Monk Gyotso.
"Oh well Aang, I'm here to tell Kirro that the other Monks would like to see you dear. There is nothing to worry about all good things." Monk Gyotso says giving me a wink making me smile nervously.
"I'll meet you later okay, be careful." Aang says being escorted by Monk Gyotso somewhere around the courtyard for some meditation.
"Oh okay, I will." I say waving bye to him and walking to the middle of the temple where the Monks reside.
__________
I knock on the door peeking my head in the cracked door, not wanting to just barge in. "Ah come in Kirro." The Monk in the middle says, whose name is Sinehn.
I walk in and sit before the five Monks saying, "Monk Gyotso told me you wanted to see me, umm all good things I hope." I laughed nervously trying to lift the tension but that obviously didn't work when none of the Monks laughed or even made a face.
"Yes well as you know you have not been able to airbend leading to you not getting your tattoos and sky bison." Monk Sinehn says looking me dead in the eyes as he pauses while I watch all the other Monks agree with him.
"And as of now, there has never been an Air Nomad not able to airbend ever. It is a great disappointment to see that our legacy has been broken." I look down in disappointment in myself knowing that this was most likely going to be brought up.
I hear a whisper being exchanged and I look up at Monk Sinehn and see Monk Mung whispering to Monk Sinehn. He nods noting what he is saying and he turns towards me. I look at him with a little bit of hope.
"Kirro." Monk Sinehn booms into the thin air. "Yes, Monk Sinehn."
"Have you heard of the Akasha?"
"Yes, I have Monk Sinehn," He nods telling me to keep going on about what I know.
