"Yay! Aang and Kirro are back!" The little village girl says
Some of them run over to him while the others remain cheerful in the crowd. The children reach me, Aang, and Katara, crowding around us gleefully.
"I knew it!" Sokka says walking closely to Aang and I. "You both signaled the Fire Navy with that flare! You're leading them straight to us, aren't you?"
"Aang didn't do anything! It was an accident." Katara says stepping up in front of Aang and I
"Yeah. We were on the ship and there was this booby trap, and, well," He awkwardly paused.
"we booby-ed right into it." I finish
Katara, you shouldn't have gone on that ship! Now we could all be in danger!" Gran-Gran says worriedly.
"Don't blame Katara. I brought her there. It's my fault." I say knowing that her Grandmother shouldn't be so hard on her when it was my fault I convinced her to go on that ship.
"Aha! The traitor confesses! Warriors, away from the enemy. The foreigners are banished from our village." Sokka says acussingly.
"Don't speak to her like that." Aang says angrily as he steps pulls me close to him knowing it was all my fault.
"Sokka, you're making a mistake." Katara tries to reason with her brother in order to let us stay.
"No, I'm keeping my promise to Dad." He points to us saying, "I'm protecting you, from threats like them!"
"Aang and Kirro are not our enemy! Don't you see? They brought us something we haven't had in a long time: fun."
"Fun?! We can't fight firebenders with fun!" Sokka says back to his sister annoyed
"You should try it sometime." I sarcasticly say back to Sokka
"Get out of our village! Now!" Sokka is now fed up with my crap at this point
"Grandmother, please. Don't let Sokka do this!" Katara pleads
"Katara, you knew going on that ship was forbidden. Sokka is right. I think it best if the airbenders leave."
"Fine! Then I'm banished, too!" She drags me and Aang to Appa, "Come on let's go."
"Where do you think you're going?" Sokka demands
"To find a waterbender. Aang and Kirro are taking me to the North Pole." She says angrily
"We are?" Aang says looking to me in question
"Katara! Would you really choose him over your tribe? Your own family?" Sokka says sadly but knowing she doesn't really want to do that.
Katara had stopped in her tracks, right between Appa and her tribe. She looks down sorrowfully as I approach her with a sad look on my face.
"Katara, we don't want to come between you and your family." I say putting a hand on her shoulder.
So, you're leaving the South Pole? This is goodbye?" He says looking at me.
Ever since I got there Katara has been nothing but like a big sister to me. If only she new the truth. "Thanks for penguin sledding with us."
"Where will you go?"
"Guess we'll go back home and look for the airbenders." Aang says helping me on Appa.
"Wow, I haven't cleaned my room in a hundred years. Not looking forward to that." I giggle knowing that his room is most likely a mess. "It was nice meeting everyone." He says.
