"Hell, a place I may end up one day, still the burning inferno I remember it to be"

The portal opened to reveal a blazing inferno known as hell. Damned souls screamed in the distance as gunshots fired and battles ensued. Laughter and smart remarks filled the air with the screams and cries of those in pain.

Vera stared blankly, "Nothing changed it seems. What else would you expect from a place called hell?"

Zaizar stared at the inferno below him with a horrified glance, "Yeah..."

Vera smiled and grabbed a sword out of her pocket. It was long, styled like a katana with angelic markings on it. It shined brightly in the dark atmosphere of hell. Blood stained the sword, yellow and golden like an angel's.

"Use this to get past the guards" Vera instructed, not even batting an eye at the angel blood.

Zaizar decided not to ask either, taking the blade from her hand. He crouched down, awaiting her response.

"I'll see you down there" Zaizar exclaimed as he jumped down into the inferno.

Vera watched him, before jumping down after him. He stuck the landing. However, he wobbled a bit from hitting the ground so hard. His body wasn't used to such movement. Vera laughed, floating down after a certain point.

"Lucky..." Zaizar mumbled, still shaky from the jump.

Vera giggled, "After you"

Zaizar nodded and smiled, "Alright then!"

A group of demons gathered around the two. Judging by their ruined clothes that had seen much better days and bandages that told their own stories told Vera they were lower class demons who didn't seem to value their life enough. A dead body, full of bite marks where flesh had been ripped off stood behind them. The first demon had turquoise hair with terracotta eyes,  and the leader of the group judging by how they stayed in front of the other two. The second demon looked unsure of the two, noticing the angelic blade. Good, lime green hair and honey dew eyes knew better than to threaten someone holding an angelic blade. The third demon with olive hair and pink eyes didn't and seemed as stupid as the leader.

The leader chuckled and aimed their gun at Zaizar. Without hesitation, he stabbed them. The leader's navy blue shirt was quickly stained by blood. The blood was black, black to show they had lived a life of sin. To show how they were doomed from the beginning. There was a reason species of demon left hell. It was cruel. Horrible. High class had a decent quality of life, but anyone below them or in an overlord's clutches was just as damned as when they were born into hell or earth.  Honey dew eyes and lime green hair gasped in horror, watching as the leader's eyes became as still and white as a dead fish. Zaizar let the leader's body fall to the ground, just as olive hair and pink eyes forcefully grabbed honey dew eyes and line green hair's arm. They ran off faster than the drones when Vera was dismantling them for the code she needed.

"We should keep moving!" Zaizar suggested as he ran toward more battles. Battles of demons who would be just as stupid as the first one.

Vera's eyes were fixated on the black blood pooling on the floor. She smiled manically and grabbed handfuls of it, stuffing it into her mouth as fast as her hands would let her. She blinked and snapped back to reality, ignoring the blood staining her.
