More trees. I sighed, as reality hit me. I had survived a kidnapping and a hungry wolf, but I was still going to die sooner than I hoped. Three days had past, and I had yet to find help or food, although I had found a small pool of water the day before. In my stupidity I had left it in search for food.

I stumbled to the ground, the lack of blood and food was getting to me. I turned myself to face the sky. It was beautiful, the sky was a perfect blue hidden by only a couple clouds, each fluffy and white.

No, I paused there was a grey cloud. No, I corrected myself, smoke. My eyes widened. Smoke. I jumped to my feet and used all of my energy to run. I came to a clearing. A wood cabin stood in front of me. I hesitated before entering, this could be the same cabin as before. I circled the building before entering, no broken windows. I knew it could have been fixed but it was a chance I was willing to take. I knocked on the door. No reply. I knocked again, after another few minutes I tried the handle. It was unlocked. I pushed the door open. I searched the cabin for food.

While searching I heard a female voice. I edged closer to the closed door, the voice got louder. I pushed the door open a crack. I couldn't see anyone. I entered the room. The voice came from a TV. A reporter was talking to a crying woman as a picture of a little boy and a girl, who looked familiar, appeared in the top right corner of the screen.

I looked around the room. A bookshelf was against the left wall along with a small desk. The left wall contained a fireplace, next to it sat a piano. Above the fireplace a long mirror hung from the wall. slowly I walked over to the mirror. I stumbled backwards in shock. It was the girl from the television, it was me. I turned my head back to the TV, listening. "All I want are my babies! I want them back and safe. please." The woman was sobbing as she choked on her words. "If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Adison and Michael Jibbery please phone 911." The reporter finished before the screen switched back to the station. As another reporter started talking about weather, thoughts whirled around inside my head. I have a brother. I left him. He's alone. I left him. I left him. I ran out of the room and back outside.
