This Chapter is dedicated for my friend who I hope will see this...we've been through a lot and I hope I can make it up to her.
Clay's Pov:
I have so many friends on the other side who would rip Emily apart. I can't leave I have to fix this. I wanted to kill something. I saw a nearby bunny and dug my teeth through its neck. I sat by the river and stared at my reflection in the water. I needed to stay, I needed to protect Emily. I knew she thought she didn't need me but in fact she depends on me. My family was coming into town but they new how to find me. They would go straight to Emily and I couldn't let the person I loved most die.
Emily's Pov
"Great!" I yelled as I sat against a tree.
I knew he was close I could feel it. A cold breeze chilled me to the bone. I thought I heard a foot step, I looked the way I heard it but saw nothing.
"Clay!" I screamed "get out here!"
Clay didn't appear...
"Don't do this, if you want to fight get out here!"
Suddenly a cold hand rested on my shoulder.
"Cla-a-a..." My mouth stopped as I saw a lady and a man standing with travel bags.
"Do you know where the nearest hotel is dear?" The lady asked politely
"Mam I'm really sorry, but there is no town close like anywhere.."
"Oh that's weird?" The man said
"Yes, our Son Clay told us he lived around here?" The Women smiled and they kept walking.
"Your his parents?" I Asked.
"Oh honey, I don't think you understand, we are looking for Clay."
I thought to myself, Clay is a vampire.. Maybe they are?! I sat up and started running, a blur flashed in front of me. I was pinned up against a tree by the mother.
"You can't do this!" I screamed
"Oh sweetie, who's going to stop me?" I saw her eyes turn black and her veins pop out. Before I was drained Clay pulled his mom off of me and used his arms as a shield.
"Hey mom!" He said
"This is my friend!" Clay hugged me tightly. His parents smiled
"We are so sorry we scared you, we meant no harm." She said assuringly
"Mom actually is like to introduce my girlfriend... Emily." Clay said
"Now where is Emily?" Clays dad asked.
"Right here?" I said
"Nice to meet you!" clay's parents added.
"We must be going see you two love birds later!" They chanted
"Kiss me!" Clay whispered
"What, no!" I answered
"You need too!" Clay whispered
I leaned over to him and he pulled me in we kissed up against a tree and his parents took a photo with their camera
"You owe me!" I yelled when they were out of sight
"I saved you, we are even!" Clay said trying to kiss me again.
How could I resist him, I pulled in and we kissed under the stars. We stopped for a breath, he smiled at me.
"You know i'd never hurt you." Clay said wrapping his arms around me.
"You could've!" I said
"I didn't though." Clay answered.
"We are dating I guess.." I said
"I don't know, are we?" Clay said smirking at me.
"Pretend or real?" I asked.
"Real." Clay said kissing me.
"Then it's settled!" I said.
Those were my last words until our breath had disappeared and Clay and I were kissing again. I had so many questions but I'd save them for another day...
