Chuuya woke up on something warm and comfy. He slowly opened his eyes, blinking a few times, then moved his head and looked up, only to discover he was close to Dazai. Too close. Chuuya, obviously flustered, quickly jumped off of the couch and immediately smacked Dazai.

"Dazai, what the hell?!" Chuuya raged. "Why was I leaning on you?! What did you do last night? I knew I should've never let you stay here, in my house."

Dazai placed his finger on Chuuya's lips for him to shut up. It worked; Chuuya was even more flustered and irritated, which led him to freeze.

"Listen," Dazai started soothingly, just awoken by Chuuya's angry voice. "In the middle of the night, during our comedy show, you fell asleep on me, so I took the blanket and put it on you and also put you in a more comfortable position. If anything, you should be thanking me."

Chuuya didn't say anything in response besides staying quiet. He knew that Dazai was right; he should be thanking him; he had the best sleep he had in months-years even-but he didn't want to admit that the dumb mackerel was right for once.

"Tch!" the ginger finally said. "Thank you. Now leave my house."

Dazai gave Chuuya a half-confused and a half-knowingly look. "Now, ChuChu, it isn't nice to be letting guests stay over and kicking them out so early in the morning without breakfast, is it? Come on, let me stay for only a few more hours!"

Chuuya's eye twitched. "Fine. You can stay for breakfast. But then you leave!"

"Yay, thanks, Chibi!" Dazai happily said.

"Yeah, whatever," Chuuya grumbled. "I'm going to go do my daily routine, probably shower. You stay here and make breakfast. It's the least you can do."

"But of course, Chibi." Dazai sounded like a gentleman, so it made Chuuya blush.

"Mhm. Oh, and try not to burn down the kitchen," Chuuya warned. "If you do, you're paying for it."

"Sure!"

On his way out, Chuuya muttered, "Stupid Dazai, always happy. This is my house; these are my rules. The guests don't get to boss me around." Dazai could tell that Chuuya was pretty much pissed at him, so he figured a good, delicious breakfast would help his mood.

After a couple minutes, Chuuya came out of his bedroom looking neat and well-dressed. The moment he stepped out, the smell of burnt pancakes came along.

"Dazai, you imbecile!" Chuuya shouted while walking towards the kitchen. "Did you burn the pancakes again?! If you ruin our breakfast, I swear to God, I will toss you out of the window, and I won't even use my ability to save you this time."

Dazai heard this and quickly dumped the burnt pancakes into the garbage can.

"Of course I didn't burn the pancakes," Dazai said, with a fake grin on his face. "How rude of you to assume I burned them, Chibi!"

"Then what was the odor I smelled?"

"Oh!" This caught Dazai off-guard. "It was... me trying a new suicidal tactic, yep! A new tactic!"

"Uh huh." Chuuya frowned. "And did this tactic have anything to do with burning food, perhaps my house? Like how you bombed my car years ago?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Nope! Not even close!" Dazai said.

"Okay," Chuuya said. "Then where's breakfast?"

"Breakfast?" Dazai asked. "I, uh, figured that we could go out and eat breakfast, you know, make our morning together special. It is the first morning we've had together in years."

"I totally didn't try making it and then ended up burning it," Dazai thought.

Chuuya blushed at this. "Wow, how thoughtful of you, I guess. But I'm going to have to decline that offer. I still need to pick up Yui from Kouyou's house, and I'm pretty sure that she wouldn't want to see your face, knowing what you did to me years ago."

"Oh..., okay." Dazai sounded utterly disappointed.

Chuuya felt bad for Dazai. He immediately tried to get rid of the feeling, but he couldn't, so he did the only thing that came to mind.

"Well, uhm," Chuuya started, embarrassed. "We could reschedule if you want. I mean, not that I want to, of course, but I'm pretty sure before we stop seeing each other again, you want to make it special, so-"

"Sure Chibi!" Dazai lit up quickly. "Where? When? I want to know every detail! Oh! Instead of it being just eating, can it be an actual date? Like, can we go to the fair or something?! Please?"

Dazai gave Chuuya puppy eyes, which Chuuya thought were adorable, and he couldn't say no to that face, so all he said was a simple 'fine'.

"Yay! Thank you, Chibi! You won't regret it!" Dazai said.

"I better not," Chuuya grumbled. "And stop calling me that. Anyway, you should leave. I really got to go pickup Yui from Kouyou's house. When do you want to go out?"

"Hm," Dazai thought aloud. "Does Yui go to school?"

"Yeah, she does. She starts back tomorrow-on Monday, actually," Chuuya said. "Want to plan it when she's gone? She's at school for about six to seven hours, so I think that's enough time to just hang out. I could drop her off at the bus stop and walk straight to your house, since the fair is near there."

"Yeah, that sounds good," Dazai agreed. "What time is it anyway?" He looked at the clock above Chuuya's sink. "Oh shoot, it's 10:37 am. I'm late for work. You know, Chibi, I should stop by Oda's grave on my way to work."

"You idiot, aren't you late to work?" Chuuya asked. "I'm pretty sure Four Eyes wouldn't be happy to find out that you're about an hour late. Plus, it's a long walk to the cemetery, so you'll probably be late another hour."

"Yeah, your right," Dazai said. "I should probably run home to pick up my headphones instead. Can you drive me home, Chibi? Please?"

Chuuya sighed. "No, I told you, I need to pick up Yui. She has a dentist appointment today at 3pm. I was planning on hanging out at Kouyou's a bit too. Can't you ask for a taxi or something?"

"Well, yeah, but I want you to take me. Please, Chibi?" Dazai begged.

Chuuya sighed once more. "Fine. But you have to listen to me, so if I say no talking or no putting your legs on my clean seats and singing that suicidal song, you have to obey the orders, or else, I'm kicking you out of my car. I don't care if it's on the side of the road, either. You could get run over by another car, for all I care."

"Okay, Chibi, I'll try to listen!" Dazai piped.

"Try?"

"But I don't want to get run over by a car and die that way; it's too painful. Unless the car is you, or at least you're driving the car, then I don't want to get run over," Dazai said.

"Tch. Simp," Chuuya said. "Whatever, just get in the car. If you're not in there soon, I'm leaving you on my porch. I'm locking you out of my house. Safety issues, you know?"

"Yep!"

Dazai followed Chuuya outside to his car and sat inside. He started touching the car screen and played a song, "Shinju Ra.".

"Dazai!" Chuuya growled. "I told you, no playing that song!"

"No, you didn't," he responded. "You just warned me and used it as an example. Oh, and you sound like a dog when you do that."

Chuuya took a deep breath. "Fine, whatever, turn that song off. And for your information, I am not a dog!"

And that was how the entire car ride went, with Dazai disobeying Chuuya and them bickering and arguing with each other until they arrived at Dazai's house, where Chuuya immediately kicked him out and drove away quickly.

"See you tomorrow, Chibi!" Dazai yelled loud enough for the elderly woman next to him to give him the stink eye.
