When Chuuya woke up, he found himself healthy with no scratches on him, and he was also on a warm and comfy surface. He looked up and saw that he was leaning on Dazai's lap. The ginger immediately blushed. Dazai looked so peaceful while sleeping, not annoying. He shifted his head a little and saw Dazai and his daughter sleeping next to each other, snuggling.
"You're awake," someone said.
The voice alarmed Chuuya as he looked up. "I'm at the Agency?"
"Yep!" A cheerful voice squeaked. Chuuya recognized this voice, it was the voice of the little boy who was dressed like a farmer. "I'm Kenji!"
"Chuuya-san, remember me?" Kyoka walked towards Chuuya and waved. "I missed you. The Agency saved me. Maybe it'll do the same for you." Chuuya scoffed at that statement.
"I doubt that." he shot back. "I don't even know what I'm doing here, or why you guys are trying to help me. I'm literally from the enemy organization. Also, get my daughter off this sad excuse of a human."
The members were silent until a man who was taller than him said, "That is not a very good thing to say about someone, but I completely agree with you. Dazai doesn't want to do any of his work, and it's annoying."
"Finally, someone who feels the same way I do about him," Chuuya thought. "Who are you to him?" he asked, curiously. "Not in a weird way, but like, business relationship?"
Frustrated, the two-eyed man said, "Well, we're partners. But, at times when things are serious to him-" he stretched the last word, "-he can be helpful. But when things are still pretty important and Dazai just doesn't help or care, he gets no work done. I'm being honest. All he does is lay around and listen to his double suicide music."
The ginger didn't want to admit it, but he felt a hint of jealousy when the tall, blonde man told him that they were partners. He thought that he was Dazai's old and only partner, since he was special to Dazai, he thought that Dazai wouldn't replace him. But he now realized how wrong he was.
"Oh." That's all Chuuya could say until he got his mind back in full swing. Once he did, he asked, "Can I leave now with my daughter? Can we also not mention this moment like, ever? Including the Port Mafia?" The ginger hoped that they would say yes.
"Don't worry," the man who walked into the Agency said. Chuuya recognized him; he was the president of the Agency. He recalled Mori and him having some sort of. . . history together, and not in a good way. They were partners, kind of. Like how he and Dazai were partners but hated each other's guts, or, only when they weren't in love, but Chuuya wasn't going to think about the details.
The president continued, "We had a group discussion on whether or not we should tell. The majority of the people said no, though, so you're pretty much safe."
Chuuya sighed in relief. But the president said majority, so obviously someone had to disagree. He thought he knew who it was, so he said, "Let me guess. Was it Dazai?"
"No, actually," the doctor from earlier said. Chuuya recognized her now since he regained his strength back. She was the Agency's medic, and her ability helped with the healing. "He was surprised the first one to vote on not telling anyone, especially Mori. I get why he doesn't want to tell Mori, but I don't know why he would be so eager to vote for you." She raised an eyebrow.
"Haha," the ginger nervously said. "Nor do I, but then again, that shitty macker- I mean, Dazai is a confusing person, don't you think?"
He hoped to keep their relationship, or what used to be of it, a secret. He didn't know if Dazai wanted them to know or not, but he wasn't going to take any risks. He and Dazai may be enemies, but deep down he still cares for him, so he was going to respect his decision.
"Uh-huh. Sure."
Chuuya huffed before getting up. He was almost fully standing when a hand reached out for him. The touch felt familiar to Chuuya as he was being pulled down into a hug once more.
"Dazai!" Chuuya ranted. "Let me go! I need to take Yui home and meet up with Ane-San and Mori-San later to discuss our next mission!"
Dazai spoke with a soft but stern voice, "No, stay here with me, Chibi. I missed you. Let me enjoy my time with you and our daughter. I still need an explanation, too, so you're not leaving until you give me that explanation."
Chuuya sighed once more. "Fine, I'll stay. But I don't promise that I'll stay and wait for you to wake up once you fall asleep."
"Then I won't fall asleep. Easy."
Chuuya rolled his eyes. He was getting annoyed. He looked over to see if he could signal any help from the Agency, but apparently, they all left him and Dazai to be alone. With their daughter, of course, but she was asleep, so that left him and Dazai.
"I'll get them back for this," Chuuya muttered.
"Sure, you will," Dazai weakly said. "Now, got to sleep, or else I'll start questioning you right now, in front of your-" he paused, "-our daughter."
"Fine."
Chuuya sat back down on the other side of the couch so he would be near but not too close to the brunette. Dazai noticed that and pulled Chuuya closer.
"S-shitty mackerel," he said while blushing.
"Shh," Dazai hushed sweetly. "Wait a bit for me, hm? I'll be awake before you know it. So just go to sleep. Rest."
Chuuya grumbled. "Fine." The ginger eventually fell asleep on Dazai's chest, and ten minutes later he was cuddling with him. Dazai blushed but appreciated that Chuuya listened to him and went to sleep. He eventually slept too, but before that he made sure to kiss Chuuya's forehead and whisper, "Sweet dreams, Watashi no ai." (my love)
Dazai, unaware that Chuuya was half awake and half asleep, responded in a whisper, "Love you too, Watashi no meiwakudakedo itoshī pātonā." (my annoying but loving partner)
