Day 9 (Continued)

Everything was pitch black
Then I see an all white room with two portal looking things
One was a bright light and one was blurry I couldn't make out what it was
But I knew what the white one was...death so I instantly ran to the blurry one
Everything was blurry then all I hear is "Emily! Emily!"
Everything became clear, it was Damien
I was in a light blue room with my parents,Damien and Kylie and a TV in it
Damien finally stops yelling and hugs me
I look to my left to see Kayla sleeping in a hospital bed
Then I realize we're in a hospital... And I'm laying down in a hospital bed too and I can't feel my leg
"Why am I here?" I ask
I look towards my parents and Kylie, they look like they've been crying
My mom sighs and says "Don't freak out when I tell you this, please"
"Okay..."
"I...I can't do it" she says shuttering
My dad clears his throat and says "sugar bum...you got shot at the mall..." He pauses, gulping a bit and blinking to hold back tears
"In the leg...and you lost a lot of blood, but you'll be okay, you just need to recover"
I started panting then looked at kayla again
"Is...kayla okay?.." I ask nervously
"Yes she is in recovery just like you" Kylie says
"What happened to her?" I asked trying to hold back tears
"She...she got shot too" Kylie stutters
"In her hip...she'll be okay, she stopped bleeding and she's not in critical condition" she continued
Then she lifts up her sleeve to reveal burns
"What...what happened to you?"
"The bullet shells hit me..."
Then Damien walks in...ugh
"Can I..have a minute with her?" He says quietly
Kylie was giving him the dirtiest look
"Sure.." My mom says
Kylie was the last one to walk out and she was staring him down
"Emily...seeing you here made me realize how much of an idiot I am.." He pauses
"It took you seeing me recovering in a hospital to realize that?" I interrupt
He just looks down at the floor then gives me eye contact
"No...Em,I have more than strong feelings for you,words can't even describe how much I love you and about Jada, she's gone...I told her to cancel her flight and to leave me alone forever and just to prove that I love you I wrote a list of most of the reasons I love you, if I wrote all of them then it would look like a bible"
Then he hands me a folded paper and walks out of the room...
"Aww" I hear from the left side of the room
I turn to see kayla giving me a big smile
"Kayla! You're up!" I wanted to hug her so bad but...my leg
"Of course! I'm not leaving yet..." She says
"Thank god" I say in relief...
