Things I've lost, where to begin
I could start listing them one by one
I've lost my keys,
I've lost my wallet,
I've lost my cards,
I've lost my clothes,
I've lost a lot of things before
But then, there are also things that I have lost,
Like a race, perhaps,
Or even a challenge
I've lost first place to another person
I've lost some things to myself before
But most of all, the hardest one, I think,
I had once lost my way
I lost my soul in a dark place
I lost my way in the darkness
Until I saw a light up ahead
I had nowhere to lay me head
Things I've lost… where to begin.
I could start all over again
But the only thing I can say:
I hope you'll never lose your way
