Al Haitham has been serving as the acting grand sage for a few months now, following the disappearance of the previous grand sage. He has submitted his resignation letter and plans to return to his original job as a scribe for the Akademiya. However, it will take a few days or maybe a week for him to transition back to his old job. During this period, he intends to stay at home and address some delayed matters that have arisen due to the chaotic events in Sumeru.

One of the matters he needs to attend to has something to do with Kaveh. Kaveh moved in with Al Haitham 3 months before the chaotic event in Sumeru occurred. Al Haitham was surprised by Kaveh's arrival, as he didn't expect the architect to come looking for him after roaming all of Sumeru following his graduation.

-Before the chaotic event occurred-

"Damn it, I don't want to be doing this either but I've got no choice!" Kaveh exclaimed as he spoke to al Haitham in front of the house.

"What do you mean you have 'no choice'? Weren't you the one who ran off to explore the whole Sumeru after graduation? I thought you'd already planned everything through. But I suppose I forgot how the mechanism in your brain works," complained Al Haitham with his arms crossed.

" I- Aghh! you and your personality have not changed after all these years huh- I can't believe I was thinking about you helping me," Kaveh spoke with a stressed tone.

" Who said anything about not helping you? Come in," Al Haitham spoke as he gestured to Kaveh to go inside.

Kaveh entered Al Haitham's house, which appeared more spacious inside. As expected, most of the rooms were filled with books. Al Haitham gestured for Kaveh to sit down so they could chat.

"So, what do you need help for?" Al Haitham spoke as he sat down on the couch across from Kaveh.

"Could you...let...stay...for...while?" kaveh spoke in a low tone of voice that Al Haitham could barely hear.

"Could you please repeat that? It seems like you've lost your voice all of a sudden," said Al Haitham.

" Aghh! Could you let me stay here for a while?!" Kaveh asked with annoyance.

"Oh? Is that all? Well, why didn't you say so?" Al Haitham replied.

"Sure, I'll let you stay here," Al Haitham made a quick decision.

"really-" Kaveh's words were cut off.

"With the rent of 800 Thousand Mora," Al Haitham continued with a smirk.

"WHAT!? THAT IS ABSURD!" Kaveh was shocked about the rent that he was being asked to pay.

"Take it or leave it, up to you," said Al Haitham

"FINE! I'LL GO! URGHH YOU'RE SO INFURIATING!" shouted Kaveh.

"I'm not done, if you do all the housework and groceries, the rent will be lowered to 400 thousand Mora or less. Sounds good?" Al Haitham made a statement that Kaveh can't resist.

"oh, my- hmm- are you not going to suffer any losses?" Kaveh questioned Al Haitham's decision.

"no, it doesn't affect me in the slightest," Al Haitham replied.

'losing you again will cost more than just a few Mora' Al Haitham thought while looking at Kaveh. It had been so long since he last saw him and he had gotten so beautiful. It is breathtaking just seeing Kaveh from a distance.

Al Haitham was correct in his observation about Kaveh. Kaveh's appearance was strikingly beautiful, no one could look away from him. His mother had gifted him with beauty and grace, while his father had given him his charming handsomeness.

"Okay, deal! I take it!" Kaveh's loud acceptance brought Al Haitham back to reality.

"Good. You can start moving in tomorrow. I'll clean up one of the rooms for you," Al Haitham stood up while speaking.

"Hey, Al Haitham..." Kaveh spoke hesitantly.

"Hmm?" Al Haitham wondered.

"Thanks for doing this," Kaveh thanked Al Haitham in a low tone.

"Heh, don't mention it," Al Haitham replied while patting Kaveh's head.

After that, Al Haitham continued cleaning up the room for Kaveh, not realizing that Kaveh's face had turned red like a tomato.
