In the morning I woke up to the doors opening and they made a loud creaking noise. I sat put as I turned to see Charlie standing in the doorway "sorry I didn't mean to wake you, I just thought you might want to talk a bit more" I nodded as I fixed my hair, I got up and walked over to the couch "sure" I smiled as Charlie came and sat by me. "I just wanted to know why you're living by the river?" Charlie asked as I turned to look at the ground "oh" I replied trying to think of one reason out of all the others.
"You don't have to if you don't want to" I shook my head "no, you deserve to know" I replied as I turned to face him. I was hesitant, I didn't even know where to start.
"I never liked my family, especially my mom. She made me feel as if just being me just wasn't good enough, my mom never knew the true me because I was always trying to be picture perfect for her" I paused as I tried to remember everything that had happened.
"She was manipulative and always tried to find me some girl to date, I could never just find my own relationship and if I did or thought I did, she would drive them away so I would have to pick her options" Charlie stared at me with a concerned look on his face. I didn't mean to bring down the mood but when it comes to my mom it's impossible to stay positive.
"She made me hate myself, and always compared me to my brother. I couldn't live like that anymore so I left" Charlie didn't look away from me "I'm so sorry" he finally choked out. "It's just sad because I don't even know what the real me looks like because I've never seen him before" Charlie leaned in and hugged me. "Once you find him tell me because I can't wait to meet him, he sounds like the coolest guy" I laughed as I whipped away my tears. "Well I'll let you stay here for as long as you
like. I would really enjoy it if you did" Charlie smiled, I nodded "thanks, i will" I smiled.
Suddenly, Charlie glanced at his watch in panic. "Crap, I'm late for school. Do you mind staying here until I come back?" he asked, a hint of worry in his voice. I nodded without hesitation. "Do you have any books, a notebook, and a pencil?" I inquired. Charlie laughed, getting up from the couch. "You nerd," he teased. Instantly, I stood up, feeling the need to defend myself. "I'm sorry, I actually enjoy doing work. Plus, I'll need something to keep me occupied until you return," I explained. Charlie glanced at me, then at the door. "I'll be right back. Wait here," he said, rushing out. I sat there for a second staring at the door, my mind lost in my thought but it was interrupted when Charlie Burst threw the doors "here, alright I'll be back around 2:30 ish" Charlie said as he handed me some clothes and books.
"I thought you might want to change your clothes," he said as he looked at me. "Yes thanks" I took the clothes and books from him "okay bye I'll see you later! I said as he left. I took the stuff and brought it to the desk that was by my bed. I put the pens down and the notebook on the desk, I sat down and opened the notebook. I wrote on the top of the page
Brainstorm.
Then I started writing book Ideas for my next book I want to write. I spent a while writing and writing, it's been a hot minute since the last time I wrote because I got my art materials taken from me because I lost my privilege. After a few hours I decided to stop and take a break for the day I stood up then I put the notebook on the shelf. I grabbed the book then sat down on the couch.
