As the gods watched in awe, [Name] abruptly stood from her seat, her eyes widening as she looked at Anubis in his child form. Her heart clenched in a mix of surprise and excitement, her motherly instincts kicking in. She couldn't resist the urge to rush down and hug the young god.
However, Thoth had noticed her reaction and quickly pulled her back to her seat with a firm grip on her wrist. He gave her a concerned look and shook his head. "Calm down, [Name], you mustn't rush to him like that," he warned her gently.
[Name] nods, her eyes tightly closed as she takes a deep breath, attempting to calm the maternal instincts that had been stirred up within her. She knew that if she were to open her eyes and gaze upon Anubis, she might lose her composure and rush towards him, embarrassing herself in front of the gods and disrupting the trial further.
As if sensing her struggle, Thoth whispers in her ear, "It's alright, [Name]. Take a deep breath, and try to focus on the trial."
Isis looks down at the small figure of Anubis, a mixture of surprise and disbelief clear on her face. "What are you doing here?!"
Anubis musters all his strength to speak, "Please... anything but dissolving his soul." The god's voice is low and hoarse as if he had been crying for a long time. "Give him a different punishment."
The gods, who were already murmuring among themselves, now turn their attention to the young God of the Dead, their expressions filled with confusion and concern. They seem to be debating amongst themselves as to the best course of action, for the sake of both Anubis and the trial.
Isis looks down at the young god, her expression one of disdain. "You have no place here, boy. Only the gods are permitted in this trial," she said sternly.
Anubis, the young god of the dead, gets down on his knees and begs, "I'm not asking you to forgive my father! It's too early to dissolve his soul! Please, give him a chance to atone for his sins! I'm begging you, Isis!" Tears stream down his face as he struggles against Khnum's grasp. "Please, please have mercy on him! Father promised me that he's willing to receive any punishment you choose to give him! I'm begging you, Isis!"
"What will become of Egypt if the desert disappears?" Anubis shouted, his voice filled with anguish, "Who will bring us victory during the war if Father is not here?" He continued to struggle against Khnum's grip, his cries of desperation echoing throughout the temple.
The room went quiet, the only sound being Anubis' cries of despair. [Name] covered her ears, trying to block out the heart-rending sound. Ruelle, her dove, senses her discomfort and snuggles into her neck as if trying to offer some form of comfort.
As everyone turned to gaze upon Anubis, they noticed the cursed appearance of his left arm. The darkness on it seemed to radiate a malevolent aura that had never been present before. Everyone's eyes widened as they took in this shocking sight.
[Name] nearly fainted at the sight of Anubis' left arm, its cursed appearance overwhelming her senses. The darkness that radiated from it seemed to evoke a feeling of suffering beyond what could be described as if it were a physical manifestation of his emotional pain. She wondered how much more he could take before his resolve completely broke.
Isis pointed a righteous finger toward Anubis's arm, her voice piercing through the silence of the trial. "That was caused by a weapon formed from the souls of the innocent! Seth severed his own son's arm to inflict a curse that can never be lifted," she stated, her tone filled with righteous indignation.
"No! Don't listen to her! It's not true!" Anubis exclaimed, his voice rising with panic.
[Name], unable to bear the sight of Anubis's suffering and in a state of emotional distress, bursts into tears. Gold tears, filled with divine power, stream down her face as she covers it with her hands, unable to comprehend the cruelty that has befallen her friend. Thoth, realizing the state she is in, walks up to her and leads her back to her chamber, offering comforting words and solace as they walk.

On the evening in question, [Name] took to the comfort of her own bed. As she curled up on her linens, she couldn't help but ponder the unfortunate events that had occurred earlier that day. Ruelle, her trusted dove, had apprised her of the situation.
Suddenly, a man with hair as white as snow and eyes that glittered like gold entered the room. The stranger was tall, with long, flowing locks that reached the base of his spine. He wore multiple gold Usekh that covered various parts of his body, including his shoulders, wrists, and upper arms. A white cloth draped over his left side, with long strips dangling down to his lower body.
"Your grace, your bath is now ready," the man said, his voice gentle yet purposeful. As he spoke, his golden gaze remained fixed on [Name], never once straying from her presence.
Gratefully, [Name] addressed the elegant individual as he entered her sleeping quarters, "Thank you, Ruelle." Her gentle words carried the weight of appreciation and the warmth of appreciation.
