As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the Hassan household, Rumana found herself seated in the living room, engrossed in a book. The soft murmur of conversation filled the air as the family relaxed after dinner, each one lost in their own thoughts.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps echoed through the hallway, and Nihal, Imad's spirited younger sister, bounded into the room with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"Rumana bhabhi, what are you up to?" Nihal exclaimed, plopping down on the couch beside Rumana with a playful grin.

Rumana looked up from her book, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "Just enjoying some quiet time, Nihal," she replied, her voice filled with warmth.

Nihal's eyes sparkled with mischief as she leaned closer to Rumana, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "So, rumor has it that you and Imad bhai have been stealing glances at each other all day," she teased, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.

Rumana felt a blush creep onto her cheeks at Nihal's playful jab, but she couldn't help but laugh at her sister-in-law's antics. "Nihal, you're incorrigible," she chided, her eyes twinkling with amusement.

Nihal grinned unabashedly, clearly delighted by Rumana's reaction. "Oh, come on, bhabhi! You can't hide anything from me. I know a love-struck gaze when I see one," she teased, nudging Rumana playfully.

Despite her embarrassment, Rumana couldn't help but appreciate Nihal's lightheartedness. In the midst of her new family, Nihal's teasing banter served as a reminder of the bond they shared—not just as sisters-in-law, but as friends.

As the evening wore on, Nihal regaled Rumana with stories of their childhood antics, each one accompanied by fits of laughter and fond reminiscence. In those moments, Rumana felt a sense of belonging unlike anything she had ever experienced before.

As the night drew to a close and the family retired to their rooms, Rumana found herself reflecting on the day's events with a sense of gratitude. In Nihal, she had found not just a sister-in-law, but a kindred spirit—a companion on this journey of love, laughter, and sisterly shenanigans. And as she drifted off to sleep, a smile played on her lips, knowing that she was exactly where she was meant to be.
