Gods Will: The City of Havoc

C - 08 Jeffrey and Jelyn

Flashbacks:
"I can't believe we got invited to the zoo before its grand opening! It's going to be such a fun day. WAAAAHHHHH!!" Jelyn said to her husband, Jeffrey.

"I know hon. It's going to be a perfect day spent together. I love our little adventures, just you and me." Jeffrey said and kiss his beloved girl on her cheeks.

Today they were invited to visit and promote a zoo at Zamboanga before its grand opening in public.

Or so they thought.

Later at the zoo entrance, they were greeted by a mysterious man and leads them to a secluded area, where it said that they can take a rest in there.

"Welcome, my dear guests. You have been selected to participate in a groundbreaking experiment that will change the course of science forever and also the humanities future." Said by the mysterious man with his guards.

"Who are you?! Experiment? What are you talking about? We thought we were here to visit the zoo?" Jelyn asked. The man grinned at her before answering her questions.

"My apologies, I'm Ryan. and oh, you are indeed here to witness something extraordinary. You've been chosen as a test subjects for a project aimed at creating a higher being through genetic manipulation." Ryan, the mysterious man said sinisterly with a malicous smile.

"This fucker!—" Jeffrey didn't finish what he was about to say when he say his wife panicking.

"T-this can't be happening! W-we didn't sign up for this!"

"It's okay hon, let's go. We'll leave this place." Said by Jeffrey. They're about to leave when the man spoke again.

"Uhmm, I'm sorry but.. I'm afraid it's too late for objections. You will cooperate, or face dire consequences. Now follow me." Ryan said manacingly.

The two lovers exchange worried glances before seizing an opportunity to escape when the guards momentarily let their guard down.

"We need to get out of here, now! Follow me, quickly!" Jeffrey said. "Now you go lead the way, and i'm right behind you. Let's find a way to escape this madness." Jeffrey added. Her wife, Jelyn agreed and when the guards and Ryan were busy leading the way, talking and walking. The two grab the opportunity to run for their lives and leave the goddamn zoo.

They stealthily navigate through the zoo, evading capture and running into the dense forest nearby.

"We made it out. But where do we go from here? We can't risk being caught again." Said by Jelyn. She was still in fear that maybe they'll get caught.

Jeffrey kissed her forehead and say that "We'll find a place to hide, lay low, and figure out our next move. We can't let them capture us and continue with their inhumane experiments."

They find a secluded and seems like an abandoned laboratory in the woods where they take refuge, unsure of what the future holds but finding solace in each other's presence.

"We may be on the run, but as long as we're together, we can face whatever comes our way. for now, we'll stay hidden, gather our strength, and one day, we'll expose the truth behind that diabolical experiment and ensure no one else suffers the same fate." Said by Jeffrey. This motivates Jelyn to stay stronger even in the toughest battle of her life.
