Thrill Ride ~ The Boyz

Chapter 5

Lottie stared at the group of silent males. None of them said a word to start with, Younghoon eventually breaking the silence.

"We don't know." He murmured.

"How do you not know, he's been with all of you right?" She called.

"That is true, but he went missing a week ago. We've not had any contact from him, we've been trying to find him if that's your next question." Jacob responded.

Lottie nodded slightly and fell quiet for a moment, until she thought of another question.

"What happened?" She asked quietly.

All the members turned to Sangyeon, knowing he had to be the one to tell Lottie why Jax was missing. The eldest ran a hand through his hair before speaking.

"It started last Tuesday night..."

It seemed like a normal night, all the guys were chilling in the living room after a few successful jobs during the day.  Drinks were poured as they wanted to celebrate. Their leader holding up a glass of red wine.

"I just want to say how proud I am of all of you guys, how well you all work." 

All the other members cheered and raised their glasses, chatting and celebrating within the small group. However, Jax had noticed the leader sneaking off. Seeing the others were distracted, Jax followed the eldest to his office, seeing the male was hunched over his desk, looking at something.

"What is that?" Jax called, walking further into the room.  

Sangyeon looked up and saw Jax, he nodded at the door.

"Close it." He ordered, the month younger male following the order, before walking over to the desk, only to see a map.

"Keep this between you and I, okay?" Sangyeon called.

"What is it?" Jax asked again.

"Our winning ticket." Sangyeon answered with a smirk.

Jax looked over the map, only to realise it was a detailed map of Seoul. It confused Jax slightly, why would he need it?

"What and why?" Jax asked.

"For our next race, we can study this map and guide our driver for the night to the finish quicker, plus set a few traps." Sangyeon answered.

"Sangyeon...this breaks all the rules." Jax mentioned cautiously.

"Since when did you care about the rules?" Sangyeon called.

"Since it could land us in trouble." Jax replied.

Sangyeon scoffed and folded up the map, placing it in his drawer and turned to the male. Sangyeon was the leader, but Jax was basically equal with him, the only person who could question the eldest and he wasn't afraid to do it either.

"Jax, you like that pretty BMW out the front right? Oh and I bet Lottie still loves her mustang right?" Sangyeon questioned.

"Yes but this isn't about fancy cars, this is about our lives." Jax responded.

"Since when were you a scaredy cat?" Sangyeon called with a laugh.

"I'm not, I just know the consequences. Do you really want Juyeon wound up in the hospital again!" Jax exclaimed.

"Who said it would be Juyeon?" Sangyeon responded.

"Dude! That's your reply! Your unbelievable! All you care about is fucking money!" Jax shouted with a scoff.

"No I don't. Jax what is your problem?" Sangyeon questioned.

"You! Your my problem! Your going behind everyone's back and making plans that could get us killed! Yeah there's a thrill in street racing but everyone that enters agrees to play fair! What has gotten into you the past few weeks!" Jax exclaimed.

"Jax you don't mean it." Sangyeon said.

"I do. You've become a complete control freak." Jax spat and went to walk out, but Sangyeon grabbed his arm.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"For a walk. I need some time to think." He answered, getting out of the leader's grasp.

Sangyeon sighed and followed the male, watching the front door slam, which startled the other members, all getting up to see the commotion.

And that was the last time they all saw Jax.

Lottie sighed as Sangyeon finished explaining. She lent back in her seat. Taking it all in. She was deep in thought when she felt a hand on her own. Looking over to see Haknyeon, who gave her a warm smile.

"Don't worry, we'll find him and keep you safe." He reassured her.

Lottie nodded quietly listening to the group talk, her mind wandering to wonder why Jax wouldn't return home.
