Another couple of weeks had flown by quickly. Lottie had settled in well with the guys, creating a good bond even in the short time. She felt cared for and safe, something she hasn't felt since her brother had left.
The morning had started fairly normal, breakfast was served and all the guys sat around with smiling faces, but Lottie could tell they were more excited than normal. She didn't want to ask, in case it had nothing to do with her, but her curiosity got the best of her.
"Why do all of you seem really excited?" She questioned.
The group went quieter and looked at each other, making Lottie slightly worried, until the smiles returned.
"There's something we haven't mentioned. We don't just have those cars for show." Younghoon mentioned.
"We street race. Well some of us do." Hyunjae added.
"That's so cool!" She exclaimed.
"We actually have a race tonight." Sangyeon mentioned.
"Can I go?" She asked.
"Of course, if you promise to stick by us at all times." He answered.
"Totally. I wouldn't want to get lost." She agreed with a nod.
The males smiled and continued breakfast. She suddenly felt a wave of excitement run through her body. She loved the thrill of racing, watching it as a kid and sometimes going for a speed drive with Jax. It all brought back many good memories.
The day flew by quickly and soon it was time to leave. All the guys split up into cars, Lottie slipped in a car with Changmin, Kevin and Eric, the youngest two being stuck in the back.
"You know Lottie, Jax used to race." Kevin mentioned.
"He did? That doesn't surprise me. We both loved racing when we were younger and he is a good driver." She replied.
Lottie smiled and looked out the window, thinking about the good times. The three males shared glances, all thinking the same thing. Kevin then discreetly passed Eric a small syringe. The youngest male gave the elder a confused glance. Kevin indicated to Lottie, making Eric nod. He leaned closer to the distracted female and without her knowledge, pushed the syringe into her arm. Lottie felt a slight scratch and looked at her arm, only to see nothing there and Eric playing on his phone. He looked up when after a minute.
"You okay?" He called.
"Yeah...Yeah, my arm..." She mumbled.
"What about it?" He asked.
"Felt like something scratched it...could just be the seat." She said, trying to think of a logical excuse.
Eric nodded, going along with what she said, knowing the full truth. Soon the group had arrived and parked up, Eric going to check on his car that was toed on a trailer for the night. Lottie remained quiet and took everything in.
The race soon started, Eric driving to the start line. Lottie stood with the guys listening to them talk to Eric on a speaker and watch on a monitor. It soon started and Lottie watched closely. It wasn't a long race, the racers only drove half of the city. She watched and saw how good of a driver Eric was, compared to his competition, which led to him wining.
When Eric returned, the youngest male was thrown up in the air by his Hyungs. Lottie smiled seeing their happy faces, her body suddenly feeling warm and fuzzy, her mind only thought about the guys and how she loved seeing them happy.
"Let's go home and celebrate!" Sunwoo exclaimed.
The group agreed and headed on home, a night of fun in call.
