"Shadows of Doubt"

It's been two weeks now and Robert is in a coma. The doctors said he is getting better. I didn't even go to meet Ruby. She is in police custody. Maybe she didn't do it because she loves her father so much that she could have died for him. But she was holding the gun. I don't know what's going on I am really tired, I can't even think about anything. It's a lot of pressure. The police are investigating but the security for the security system is so high that even police couldn't access the cameras which are in the hallway of Roberts home. But in the backyard camera it has been seen that ruby was constantly on call with someone and when the bell rang she hesitatingly cut the phone and ran towards the hall. Because of which the suspect got stronger. And Micheal was still missing so he was the second suspect.

On the other side Ruby was dying day by day thinking about her dad. She wasn't eating talking to anyone because she was the only innocent in that dangerous jail. A jail filled with killers thiefs and all the people with full of sins. And she was barely sleeping. She got into multiple fights among the prisoners. Those two weeks were like hell to her she tried her best to tell the truth but no one believed her. And what hurt her the most was her mothers not trusting her. She was devastated, alone and feeling so hurt. Having thousands of thoughts in her mind. she was slowly dying. Than she got a visitor her mom. She tried to tell her mother everything but she wasn't there to hear her explanation she was there to know the security code of the CCTV cameras. Without thinking twice ruby told her and said " I never thought you would do this to me. I hate you " with tears in her eyes and left.

Rebecca's pov:-
I was trying my best to hold my tears and as she left I bursted out. I trust her but I am in a situation where I even doubt myself. I was really sorry for how I treated her. I wish I could say her but she wasn't in a right state of mind to hear any thing from me. As I went out I saw Michael with the police. He was looking at me with those red eyes like he wanted to kill me. Police found him in a abonded house in woods. And he told me, " look, darling I killed him didn't I , where will you go now, oh you lost your daughter too, right! poor baby I will make you beg now beg for your peace, your loved ones, your little princess, your everything. I'll snatch it you are gonna cry every moment you breathe. YOU LEFT ME AND YOU ARE GONNA REGRET IT !! I was shivering and one of the police officers comforted me. She said me it will be really hard for him to get bail now. And he is going to be shifted to a jail where no one a escape from, don't worry we even visited Mr.Robert he is doing well now. And your daughter is getting bail and all her criminal charges are going to get cancelled. Everything will be alright. I was finnally relieved after hearing those words from her.

Next day:-
Ruby was shifted to hospital because she was so sick. She fainted because of lack of energy. Robert was awake and Rebecca thought every thing would be alright. But Ruby suddenly turned silent and stopped talking to everyone she went to visit her father and she went back home to freshen up and lock herself in the room.

She wasn't picking anyone's phone nor going to the office. She was feeling betrayed by everyone including her mother. Because she never thought she would be accused of something she never did. She tried her best to tell everyone that she isn't the one but no one believed which became a trauma for her. So she decided to end her life. She thought of suicide can end everything. Her pain was unbearable and she couldn't take it anymore. She went to one bridge and about to jump but then she heard a very familiar voice," STOP RUBY !! You can't do this. Don't even think about it."
