My marriage was fixed
With the best chosen for me
Not by me, but of course
By My family
Roka was done yet
I wasn't ready
I wanted one by my own choice
Alas that wasn't possible
Not until I made their choice
As my own
All the arrangements were done
It was the time
For me to get engaged
Yet I wasn't ready
Unfortunately, I got engaged
Still I was in a dilemma
Didn't know what to do
After a long thought process
I came up with a plan
I'll run
I'll run before my wedding
But I couldn't
I didn't have that spirit to run
I tried alot
But I couldn't
Where would I go?
What would I do ?
Everyone will be insulted, hurt
And whatnot
So I got married
I wasn't in my senses
And I got married
I didn't want it
But I got married
And now I was finally a ‘wife’
A ‘Daughter-in-law’
A ‘Sister-in-Law’
And most importantly
A strange person to my own family
As sadly I was now married

Life & What if
Poetrylife is a circle of the same events that are followed by everyone. From birth to death all goes through the same pattern. This is beautiful to go through or see. That pattern is described in my this series of poem. I hope you'll like it. 🤞
