the next morning, Jennette was concerned. She and Claude were doing breakfast in bed alone without athy. Upon hearing her worries, Felix went off to bring athy too.
"YOUR MAJESTY! PRINCESS ATHANASIA IS GONE!" Felix yelled out. Catching both Jennette and claude's attention.
Claude got up, as Jennette asked "gone?! What do you mean gone??" Felix stared at the two. "She is nowhere in the palace, she is just gone!"
Claude bite his tongue as he barked out the order "get all the guards! Bring my daughter back safe now!" Claude asked Felix nodded rushing out leaving Jennette and Claude alone in the room again.
Jennette just stared at Claude, Claude who was so worried about athy.. Claude who was trying to find her.. Claude who did his best when she was poisoned by mana..
Who... Are you? This Isn't the Claude I read about, it took alot to change you..
"Your majesty?" Jennette softly called out. Claude blankly stared at the door.
"I thought I wouldn't have cared if she died or disappeared at some point" Claude started "I was always waiting for the chance... While bearing hatred in my heart... I wanted to kill her"

"Your... Majesty" Jennette frowned not really knowing what to say. Claude glanced at her. "I am not finished talking"

At this point. Claude was just rambling, not talking to Jennette at all. He was rambling about Diana, where his hatred for athy steamed from.

"But I can't... I can't hate her anymore... Because" Claude stared at Jennette. Who looked astonished and confused. "You... Showed me I was wrong. I wasn't happy with how I was surviving. I too wanted to die like you.. I just decided that surviving through all means was necessary..." Claude sourly chuckled, his eyes still looked apathetic but she could see sadness behind them.
...... At least you tried Claude.. At least you tried. I haven't... I-i didn't even try!
Jennette bite her tongue as tears spilled out.
The day, the palace lost Princess athanasia was a somber day.
