[Season One, Episode Two]
After the collapse of the first set of doors, the group sprinted back to the roof and started to think of possible ways to escape. So far, they hadn't come up with any viable solutions that didn't put their lives in immediate danger. In a last-ditch effort to come up with a plan, Rick, Glenn, Morales, and Jules started sharing a set of binoculars, trying to scout out any potential paths the group could take to leave the infested city.
While the binoculars were in Rick's hands, he hopefully questioned, "That construction site, those trucks... They always keep keys on hand."
Morales took the binoculars to see what Rick was talking about, and when he did, he shook his head. "You'll never make it past the geeks."
Next Rick turned his attention towards Jules and Glenn, who were standing unknowingly close to each other, and noted, "You two got me out of that tank."
Jules simply chuckled and shrugged before nonchalantly explaining. "You got incredibly lucky that the geeks were too distracted by the poor horse to even notice you."
Glenn nodded in agreement, "Yeah, she's right, they were busy feeding."
"Can we distract them again?" Rick asked with an arched brow.
Before anyone could even think to answer, Merle stated his unwanted opinion. "Right. Listen to him. He's onto something. A diversion, like on Hogan's Heroes."
Jacqui rolled her eyes and grumbled, "God. Give it a rest."
The pure sass and irritation laced within Jacqui's voice caused Jules to involuntarily snort. Making Jaqui laugh, and Jules reached over to give her a high five, which Jaqui happily accepted. After that, Jules put her attention back on the main conversation at hand.
"They're drawn by sound, right?" Rick questioned.
Glenn bobbed his head while answering. "Right, like dogs. They hear a sound; they come."
"What else?"
"Uh, they smell us," Jules replied with a shrug.
Morales nodded in agreement and added, "Yeah, they see you, smell you, and if they catch you, they eat you."
